‘The team will also hold their annual ‘The Return of the Blue and Red’ intrasquad practice on Friday, August 2 at New Era Field. The event begins at 6:15 p.m. and is also a ticketed event.’

Bills’ Allen targeted what he wanted to get better at this spring
‘Allen has always seemed to work well with offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. He said Ken Dorsey joining the offensive staff has also helped him, “I feel like I’ve done a good job. I’ve had a lot of great help around me. Dorsey, having him here has been a great addition. Having the eyes of Matt and Tyree and Shea and Coach Daboll. we’ve all been doing a great job in the quarterback room of seeing things and relaying things to each other and that open line of communication that we have has been awesome. It’s going to continue grow and continue to get better and hopefully we will see some results on the field too.”’
Sal’s AFC East position battles: Running back
‘The Bills might have the most depth of any team in the division, but a lot of questions at the top of that depth chart, and most of them are about LeSean McCoy.’
While Bills offense has dealt with injuries, defense benefiting from continuity
‘“It’s huge,” safety Micah Hyde told me after practice Wednesday. “Communication purposes. I know where ‘Po’ (Jordan Poyer) is going to be at at all times. I know what calls he’s going to make. I know Tre’Davious (White). I know Tremaine (Edmunds), D-Line, same thing. I know what gap they’re going to be in. So once you can pinpoint where everybody’s going to be and you know you’re job, and you know what you can’t mess up on, the sky’s the limit.”’
Bills’ Foster learned a lot from an up and down rookie season
‘McDermott wanted Foster’s habits to change, so what does that really mean? Foster said, “I put more time into it, more time into my ability, more time into the business side of it, more time in the film room, more time to meet with my coaches and just try to build a chemistry with my teammates and eliminating distractions.”’
Morse: Josh Allen is ‘well on his way to being a superstar’
‘”He’s got a special talent. The cool thing is that in Josh, I see this incredible competitive nature, this great arm talent, and the will to want to be great. To be honest, that’s most of the battle. I know that it’s tough being a quarterback, especially being a young quarterback, but he’s got last year to draw on and I think he can be really special this year.”‘
Andre Roberts ‘fell in love’ with golf
‘Roberts is not only good and loves to play, he loves to play on some of the best courses in America. During the offseason, the South Carolina native spends some time traveling from state to state playing some of the Top-100 golf courses in the country. He just swung his clubs at Pine Valley last weekend. The New Jersey course was ranked No. 1 by Golf Magazine’s 100 Top Courses in the United States and the World in 2012, 2015, and 2019.’
Foster out; Morse, Beasley return as Bills open minicamp
‘Head coach Sean McDermott said Foster suffered a foot injury last week and, although they are still going through the evaluation process, he doesn’t believe it to be something long-term right now. He also once again said Kroft is most likely the only long-term injury of the group. The tight end suffered a broken foot on the first day of OTAs last month.’
Injuries, Allen’s progress top storylines as Bills head to minicamp
‘Other than injuries, the other big storyline to follow, at least to begin the week, is the performance of Josh Allen. The second-year quarterback was absolutely terrific two weeks ago in the OTA session open to the media, but wasn’t nearly as good in last week’s lone media-open session. This week will give people like me a chance to see him and his teammates three days in a row.’
On McCoy, the Bills’ actions speak louder than words
‘If the Bills didn’t believe in McCoy as their starter or if they didn’t have confidence he’d bounce back, wouldn’t the Bills have done everything they’ve done this offseason at the position?’
Bills make roster moves at TE and DT
‘Becker, a Miami (OH) product, was signed as an undrafted free agent last month by the Detroit Lions, but released shorty after. He caught 19 passes for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns in 35 college games.’
Bills release dates & times for preseason
‘This is the second straight year the Bills will not close out the preseason with the Lions. However, the Bills do have a trip to Detroit in Week 3 of the preseason, which is set for Friday, August 23 at Ford Field.’
Bills still dealing with plenty of injuries as OTAs roll on
‘Head coach Sean McDermott said that Kroft remains the most serious and only long-term injury with his broken foot, but added, “anytime you miss it is serious, because we need you out there/. There’s a number of guys that aren’t practicing, so its hard to develop the team when you’re not practicing and not available.”’
Morse wants to make Allen’s job “as easy as possible”
‘“Absolutely,” he said when asked if he’s sure he’ll be ready for training camp. But then he took it one step further. “I should be on track for next week to be back for minicamp, which is exciting.”’
Poloncarz “here for the community” when it comes to the Bills’ new stadium
‘”These things take time. The current lease expires in 2023. I think the best way to answer (where the Bills are at) is exactly what Kim Pegula said when she spoke at the owners meetings; she doesn’t know which direction we’re going to go, which means we’re still very early in the process. All options are on the table when you start a negotiation. We have a good line of communication. I usually meet with Kim maybe twice a year. And with other members of the Bills organization, we meet with them monthly on all kinds of issues associated with the stadium. So when it comes to negotiations regarding the future, I feel we’re in a good position to start when the Bills feel it’s necessary.”‘
