‘After showing plenty of cracks in their run defense over a three-game stretch, the Bills have done a good job of turning that back around, holding the Dolphins and Broncos to a combined 108 yards on the ground. But now they’ll be tested by a Cowboys team that ranks 8th in rushing yards per game (129.8) and 9th per play (4.59). Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott is 7th in the NFL so far this season with 919 yards rushing. If the Cowboys get their ground game going it will only make it much more difficult to stop the No. 1 passing offense in the NFL, led by QB Dak Prescott, who leads the league with 3,433 passing yards already.’

Both Buffalo and Dallas looking to prove their legitimacy
‘The combined record of opponents the Cowboys defeated is 16-49-1 (32% win percentage). For comparison, the combined record of opponents Buffalo has defeated is 21-67 (31.3% win percentage).’
Lawson having a career year for the Bills in 2019
‘”He is one of our catalysts,” Head coach Sean McDermott said. “Whether its offensively or defensively, he is respected on both sides of the ball for how he brings it everyday.”‘
Siran Neal clears concussion protocol
‘Neal was listed as a full participant on Monday’s injury report, which was only an estimation since the team only held a walk-through. Tackle Ty Nsekhe was still out with an ankle injury, as was wide receiver Robert Foster, who suffered a hamstring injury Sunday. Center Mitch Morse, who left the game with a finger injury, was listed as a limited participant.’
Micah Hyde: When you play in Dallas, it feels like primetime
‘”It’s hard to play on Thursday night. Obviously fans love them, NFL on a Thursday, primetime game. But it’s hard to get your body right. I don’t start feeling good until Friday. So, to get ready for Thursday is pretty remarkable. Just have to stay at the complex a little longer.”‘
Bills defense and run game dominates Denver in a 20-3 win
‘In the fourth quarter, John Brown made a tough catch that was originally ruled as incomplete, but review proved that Allen’s pass to Brown was a touchdown and gave the Bills a 20-3 lead to close out the scoring. To put the cap in the afternoon, Gore would then surpass Barry Sanders for sole possession of third place in NFL history for rushing yards in a career.’
Another stress free Bills victory
‘There really wasn’t much to complain about from the Bills perspective. Penalties would be at the top of a very short list. Buffalo was flagged 12 times for 90 yards. No time for the Bills to celebrate this one since they have a short work week and a Thanksgiving day matchup in Dallas. After the Cowboys come games with Baltimore, Pittsburgh and New England. Its a major step up in competition since all four teams currently have a winning record. Through the first 11 games of the season the Bills faced only two teams that have a winning record at this point, New England(loss) and Tennessee(win).’
Arrow Up/Arrow Down – Broncos at Bills
‘Lawson continues to have the best season of his career. He had two of the team’s four total sacks, resulting in 23 yards of losses, and also added three quarterback hurries.’
Broncos at Bills: Sal’s keys, notes and stats
‘With Ty Nsekhe out, Bills rookie offensive tackle Cody Ford will be the man responsible for keeping Von Miller off QB Josh Allen.’
McDermott: We want opposing teams to respect us
‘”We’re trying to develop a good winning football team and build it the right way. That also means the right type of mindset. When you’re trying to become that type of team, [where other teams] are targeting you and we’re doing things the right way, they respect us. That’s where we want to be. We’ve worked hard to get here, and no we have to continue to stay hungry on the path to the end of the season here.”‘
Hughes misses practice for second straight day
‘Defensive end Jerry Hughes (groin) and safety Siran Neal (concussion) both missed practice for a second straight day, as the team prepares to take on the Denver Broncos Sunday in Orchard Park.’
Brown: We haven’t put up our best offensive performance yet
‘”He’s calm now, but, to me, Josh is still the same. I definitely talk to him about not taking hits. He’s been doing a good job with that. As far as the turnover situation, I just think he’s playing smarter and he’s making way better decisions and not forcing things.”‘
Another good test for Josh Allen vs Denver
‘A major theme of the 2019 season for Allen and the Bills has been taking care of business against weaker teams, but struggling against the league’s best.’
Allen named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week
‘So far through 10 games this season, Allen has completed 60.3% of his passes (191-for-317) for 2,175 yards and 13 touchdowns. Allen has already surpassed his passing marks from his rookie season, where he completed just 52.8% of his passes (169-for-320) for 2,074 yards and 10 touchdowns.’
Darryl Johnson shares a special bond with his college coach
‘“That meant a lot to him,” Johnson said of Coard receiving the jersey. “The look on his face, you could just tell the way it kind of touched his heart a little bit. I was just happy to give it to him and I told him thank you for everything he had done for me, for believing in me, and working with me every day and getting me better.”’
