‘“One of the big reasons was Dan. We had a good relationship in Seattle, and then he came to Buffalo,” said Jefferson, who added he never really came close to re-signing with the Seahawks. “I wanted to play for a good organization. You guys have a great organization. Got a lot of good stuff going on. Definitely a good d-line with a lot of talent and, ah shoot, I figured, ‘why not come join that?’ It’s kind of what I left, so I wanted to join something good, as well, and see how I can contribute. You guys are a playoff-caliber team and I wanted to be a part of that.”’

Tua Tagovailoa is the Bills’ biggest threat in the AFC East
‘Tagovailoa, when healthy, is a near perfect quarterback prospect. He’s accurate at every level of the field, he throws beautiful touch passes, he has lower body mechanics straight out of a football textbook, is able to read and understand how to beat opposing defenses, is a pretty decent athlete, and is given credit for great leadership qualities. The only thing to worry about him, and it’s a big worry, is his health.’
NFL.com metric ranks Stefon Diggs as third best pass-catcher in league in 2019
‘Diggs wound up No. 3 overall on the last, behind only the Saints’ Michael Thomas and the Seahawks’ Tyler Lockett.’
Jim Kelly Says Bills Are Favorites to Win AFC East
‘Even with Brady in New England, the Bills were on the cusp of dethroning the Patriots in the AFC East in 2019. Granted, the Patriots still beat the Bills in both of their matchups in 2019, but lost by a touchdown or less in both games. The Patriots held on to win the AFC East for the 11th consecutive season in 2019, but the Bills won 10 games and one of the two AFC Wild Card slots. They did lose to the Houston Texans in the Wild Card Round, but the 16-0 lead that the Bills had in the third quarter left you intrigued about the team’s potential moving forward.’
From A-to-Z: A guide through the Bills’ 2020 offseason
‘A: Allen, Josh: It’s fitting we start here because the 2020 Bills could very well be defined by how well Josh Allen plays.’
Report: Bills DT Ed Oliver arrested for DWI, unlawfully carrying a weapon
‘Per the details of the report, the incident occurred just before 9 p.m. local time when another motorist called 911 stating the driver of a truck was failing to maintain a lane and driving dangerously in a construction zone. After deputies arrived, the report states they saw Oliver had an open beer between his legs. They performed a field sobriety test, then transported him to a local hospital for a mandatory blood draw. Deputies also discovered a pistol while searching his car. Oliver was taken to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon. No drugs were found in the vehicle.’
Bills finalize 2020 preseason schedule
‘All four games will be aired on television on WIVB-TV…’.
Allen working on ‘eliminating what the defense can’t be playing’
‘“Going back and watching the good, the bad, and the ugly from last season, and finding out, now that I’m talking with talk to Coach [Ken> Dorsey, and we’re able to do our virtual meetings, and just being able to watch some film and be like, ‘man, why are my eyes in this place? Why did I start to the left side when I knew it was cover-two and I should have started to the right?’ So, trying to find ways to eliminate those and eliminate what the defense can’t be playing, as opposed to trying to find out what they are playing.”’
Dawkins: Bills are still the underdogs
‘“We’re the underdogs, man,” Dawkins told Bob Papa and Charlie Weis this week on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “Nothing has ever been given to us. We’ve never been the favorites, so why start now? We’re going to still play and live with that fire that we’re not the favorites and that nobody is really on our side but us. So, we’re just going to hit this thing rolling, and we’re just going to keep our heads down and we’re going to work. And we’re going to keep grinding and keep grinding and we’re going to play physical, play hard, and we’re going to beat the heck out of people, physically.”’
Thank you, NFL
‘Truth be told, I am very much a Sunday at 1 o’clock kind of football fan, but how can you not be excited about the Bills having four primetime games? If you put aside, for a moment, how the make up of the schedule could impact the Bills’ chances to make the playoffs, then this is about as fun of a schedule as you could draw up for a fan of the team. The Bills get to open the season at home, play five of their eight home games before Thanksgiving (which is great if there are going to be fans at games), play the bigger name teams on their schedule in those night games and have a regularly scheduled Sunday night national TV game in Orchard Park for the first time since 2000.’
Beane: We never spoke to Sammy Watkins
‘After Bleacher Report’s Tyler Dunne told the guys on One Bills Live earlier today that Sammy Watkins had spoke to the Bills about a reunion this offseason, the Bills are saying that is completely false.’
Bills begin rookie minicamp Monday
‘Drafted rookies, undrafted free agents, and any player who has not completed one season in which he earned a year of credited service are eligible to participate in rookie minicamp. Additionally, according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, each club may allow no more than five veteran players to participate, as well.’
Poloncarz doubts New Era Field will be packed this season
‘”Just because they announced the season schedule doesn’t mean there actually will be fans in those stands. I don’t know. And there could be a limit on fans by a percentage of individuals,” he said. “Even if you did it at 25% of the fans, that’s still roughly 20,000 people, and then you include the other folks that need to be in the stadium for a football team. This is all new, we don’t know, and I don’t think we’re going to know until probably August.”‘
Bills sign three more draft picks
‘The team announced on Friday that second round defensive end A.J. Epenesa, fourth round wide receiver Gabriel Davis, and fifth round quarterback Jake Fromm have all signed their four-year rookie contracts.’
Bills sign eight undrafted free agents
‘Perhaps the most notable signing of this group of undrafted free agents is tackle Trey Adams, who was once seen as a decent prospect eligible for the 2020 NFL Draft. Adams spent five years playing at the University of Washington, where he appeared in 47 games for the Huskies. However, injuries were a significant factor in his draft stock to fall, including a torn ACL as a junior, as well as back concerns throughout the later portion of his collegiate career.’
