‘The 49ers announced the decision on Monday afternoon. It comes after Santa Clara County officials, where the 49ers play their home games at Levi’s Stadium, announced this weekend that no high school, college, or professional sports can take place for three weeks due to the recent surge of Covid-19 cases in the area.’

‘This my friends, is progress. No, it’s not progress towards convincing us that they can take down the Chiefs in the playoffs should they get that chance. But that sort of belief is elusive and varies from fan to fan so what it even is worth is at least debatable, at worst, useless.’

‘Most eyes were on the quarterback matchup between Buffalo’s Josh Allen and Los Angeles rookie, and sixth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Justin Herbert, but the contest didn’t end up being the shootout many expected.’

‘The run game seemed to finally come alive for Buffalo. The defense made big stops when needed. Tyler Bass was perfect again in the field goal kicking department. Andre Roberts had a few nice returns.’

‘Sunday’s 27-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers felt more lucky than it did ugly. But I assure you, it had plenty of both, at times, en route to the Buffalo Bills’ eighth victory of the season to maintain their one-game lead over the Miami Dolphins for the AFC East lead.’

‘I’ll bet many of you expected the Buffalo Bills to beat the Los Angeles Chargers. I’ll bet few of you thought the Bills’ running game and their defense would be the two main reasons why they recorded their eighth win in 11 games.’

‘The Bills finally got the kind of production they’ve been looking for out of the running game, rushing for 172 yards overall on 30 carries, averaging 5.7 yards per-run. They were particularly good running the ball after halftime, amassing 117 yards on 6.64 yards per-run in the second half.’

‘ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports it’s a high ankle sprain, and the team is hopeful for his return after he misses the required three games on Injured Reserve.’

‘It’s clear that when Brown’s not on the field, or noticeably not healthy, the offense is not nearly as efficient.’

‘For the Chargers, they have ruled out starting defensive end Melvin Ingram III, starting cornerback Casey Hayward, Jr., and backup defensive end Uchenna Nwosu, with a few other key players still being evaluated.’

‘”We’ll take it one day at a time and see how the week plays out,” head coach Sean McDermott told reporters on Wednesday.’

‘The addition of Norman back to the roster means the Bills now have 52 of the maximum 53 roster spots accounted for. Cornerback Cam Lewis and linebacker Tyrel Dodson are both eligible to come off of Injured Reserve list this week, while linebacker Matt Milano is eligible to be activated from I.R. next week.’

‘The Bills get picked for a late-season Saturday game for the second year in a row. Last year, the Bills were slotted to play their Week 16 matchup with the Patriots in Foxboro on a Saturday, also in the 4:30 p.m. time slot.’
