‘The Buffalo Bills have signed three of their picks from the 2020 NFL Draft, the team announced on Thursday.’

‘The highlight of the Bills’ 2020 slate is four primetime games, which includes two Monday Night Football games, a Sunday Night Football game, and a Thursday Night Football game against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.’

‘Three of those four primetime games come in a four-week stretch in December, including a long road trip to take on the NFC champion San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football, followed by a home Sunday Night Football game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are no stranger to playing under the lights.’

‘The NFL can start the season at any given week. So, if the league deems it is not safe to start the season until Oct. 1, the season will pick up with its Week 4 schedule.’

‘In his preseason predictions, La Canfora has the Bills winning the AFC East, saying, “They have the best roster in this division and it doesn’t appear to be particularly close to me right now. Even if Josh Allen is more of a project than a solution, as long as he protects the football and does his thing with his legs they will be in the playoffs again. Top-five defense and Stefon Diggs will be a game changer.”‘

‘That means the Bills would open the season by playing, in an unknown order as of right now, home against the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams and on the road against the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals. By doing this, if the league did have to cancel the first four weeks, it would still allow for every team to have six divisional and twelve total conference games remaining. Therefore, no team would have a competitive advantage and the schedule would remain balanced when it came to determining playoff teams in each conference.’

‘Of the 13 unrestricted free agents the Bills had entering the new league year, Gore is the fifth to sign with another club. Three have re-signed with the Bills, and five are still unsigned.’

‘Want another little tidbit that emphasizes just how long he’s been around? His son, Frank Jr., is kicking off his college career this upcoming season at Southern Mississippi (via Adam Schefter). If he makes an impression quickly enough and Frank Sr. can stick around for a couple more years, perhaps the two will be able to play in the NFL at the same time.’

‘“We thought he was a second (round pick),” Kiper said of the Utah running back. “He certainly has all the production. He’s got the versatility. In the third round last year they got Devin Singletary out of Florida Atlantic, who had a really good rookie year. He was a key element in that offense for Josh Allen. Really was a key to them getting as far as they got. I think (Moss) will be a really good one-two punch with Singletary. I like the sixth-round pick Hodgins, but I do think Moss on the third round was a steal by about a round. I thought he should have gone in the second round.”’

‘Cox comes to Buffalo after spending last season with the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers. He had 0.5 sacks and 14 total tackles in seven games played. Cox entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Florida in 2017, signed by the Panthers, where he spent his first two seasons, collecting 16 tackles and one fumble recovery.’

‘After drafting a RB in the third round the last two seasons, selecting Devin Singletary in 2019, and Utah’s Zack Moss in 2020, Buffalo has put together one of the most elusive RB duos in the NFL.’

‘As far as Fromm, Yahoo! included two different coaches’ feelings, with one saying “I think he will be in the league a long time. He may never be a star, but he’ll be a reliable player for a long time.” Another coach added, “Would not be surprised if Fromm has more NFL starts than one of the quarterbacks taken with a top-10 pick.”’
