Opinion: After Emmanuel Sanders signing, Bills are one step closer to building a super team

‘And the free agent party should only just be getting started. Blessed with a franchise quarterback still on his rookie deal, otherwise known as the NFL’s holy grail, the Bills are in prime position to keep adding.’

Bills sign punter Matt Haack

‘The signing of Haack may mean the Bills are prepared to move on from Corey Bojorquez, who is a Restricted Free Agent. To retain Bojorquez’s rights, the Bills would have to give him a minimum qualifying offer of $2.13 million, which would make him one of the top-10 paid punters in the NFL by cash, and in the top half of the league in terms of salary cap hits in 2021.’

Reports: Bills sign Emmanuel Sanders, trade Lee Smith

‘NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Bills have agreed to sign Sanders, who has yet to officially be released by the New Orleans Saints, but will be and is flying to Buffalo for a physical.’

Bills sign Tyler Matakevich to one-year extension

‘Matakevich was signed as a free agent from the Pittsburgh Steelers last offseason almost exclusively for special teams. He actually led the entire NFL in total special teams tackles the previous four years. In Buffalo in 2020, he led the Bills with 10 total special teams tackles, and was far and away their snap count leader on special teams, on the field for over 71% of the plays. No other Bills player even topped 58%, which shows how valuable the Bills believe he is.’

Bills re-sign guard Jon Feliciano

‘With the re-signing of Feliciano, Bills general manager Brandon Beane has managed to keep the team’s consensus top-three pending unrestricted free agents, inking linebacker Matt Milano on Thursday and right tackle Daryl Williams on Friday.’

Bills re-sign offensive tackle Daryl Williams

‘With Williams locked up, he joins Dion Dawkins, Mitch Morse, Cody Ford, Ryan Bates, Jordan Devey, and Trey Adams as Bills offensive linemen now under contract for 2021. Jon Feliciano, Brian Winters, and Ty Nsekhe are all scheduled to become free agents when the new league year begins March 17 at 4 p.m. ET.’

Bills, Milano agree to new four-year contract

‘A source with knowledge of the deal tells WGR that Milano will receive $23.5 million guaranteed, a $7 million signing bonus, plus base salaries of $5.3 million in 2021, $7.5 million in 2022, $9.25 million in 2023, and $9.55 million in 2024.’

Bills release John Brown and Quinton Jefferson

‘Both players had one year remaining on their contracts. The move will save over $14.1 million on the team’s 2021 salary cap. Brown will count $1.6 million in dead money, with a savings of over $7.9 million. Jefferson’s release will save the club $6.5 million against the cap, but carry no dead money.’

Allen, Edmunds fifth-year option amounts set

‘For Allen, the fifth-year option will cost the Bills $23.016 million. For Edmunds, it will cost $14.791 million.’

Morse reduces pay to help Bills clear cap space

‘Morse was scheduled to earn $7.025 million as a base salary this coming season, with a salary cap hit of $10.34 million counting the prorated bonus money from the contract he signed to join the team prior to the 2019 season. The move will now reduce his cap hit to $8.34 million.’

Opinion: Dak Prescott’s new deal could pave way for Josh Allen extension

‘Allen is set to earn less than $1 million in base salary for the 2021 season, but carries a salary cap hit of $6.9 million due to the prorated signing bonus of his original four-year deal. The Bills have until May 3 of this year to exercise a fifth-year option for 2022, which, at this time, projects to be north of $21 million. Absent an extension before May 3, there’s no doubt the Bills will exercise that option on the league’s second-leading vote-getter for MVP last season.’

Bills finalize season ticket pricing for 2021

‘The team is currently preparing for 100% capacity for all home games at Bills Stadium in Orchard Park. However, if New York State or National Football League guidelines limit capacity in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team says season ticket members will have priority access to tickets.’

Opinion: What happens to Devin Singletary?

‘Now, Singletary is a round peg trying to fit into a square hole. A hole the Bills might want to fill with Memphis’ Kenneth Gainwell or free agent Matt Breida. There are countless options for the Bills that fit into a dynamic pass catching running back role better than Singletary does.’

Bills re-sign linebacker Andre Smith to two-year deal

‘In 12 games played this season for the Bills, Smith primarily contributed on special teams, but still managed to register nine total tackles, one tackle for loss and a forced fumble.’

Micah Hyde signs two-year extension with Bills

‘Hyde signed as a free agent with the Bills prior to the 2017 season, right after Sean McDermott was hired as head coach. He’s been an extremely consistent and reliable player throughout his four seasons in Buffalo, playing 67 of a possible 69 regular season and playoff games, collecting 282 total tackles, five tackles for loss, and nine interceptions. He was voted to the Pro Bowl following the 2017 season.’
