‘The Raiders pulled the upset of the Chiefs last week by getting to Patrick Mahomes with their front four on defense, allowing their secondary to blanket the field. They sacked him three times overall, but Mahomes often had to scramble and make plays outside the pocket. He’s good at that, but doing that also takes away some of the field he wants to read. The Bills haven’t been able to generate much of a pass rush this season (they’re 21st in the league in sacks per pass attempt), so if they want to follow this blueprint they’ll have to be find a way to be better at it than they’ve been.’

‘However, Reid put those fears to rest with a series of tweets Friday afternoon, noting that the Bills had indeed reached out to him and, it even appears a partnership may be in the works.’
Bon Jovi ‘won’t ever go back’ to Buffalo after Bills sale drama
‘“I can tell you, I swear to you on a stack of Bibles, because I had to have this hardy conversation with the two partners: ‘We’re not gonna get this unless we keep this here,’” Bon Jovi told Ben Allen of GQ in another interview. “We never saw it coming. I was calling the town councilman, telling him, ‘I’m moving to Buffalo, New York!’”’

Opinion: A night to forget
‘The Bills laid an egg in prime time, which was disappointing. The offense didn’t score enough points. The defense was bad. Special teams had a couple of mistakes. The Bills also hurt themselves with 10 penalties, seven of which were pre-snap. They had four false starts, three coming on the same drive, on a night when there were only 8,400 fans in the stands.’
Opinion: Woof
‘Pass coverage was horrendous without cornerbacks Tre’Davious White and Levi Wallace. Slot corner Taron Johnson got lost a few times, and if Josh Norman has had a worse outing in the NFL, that game tape probably should have been destroyed to protect the innocent.’
Bills fall to Titans to drop to 4-1
‘The Bills have typically started games pretty well this season, but it seemed like it was going to be a long night right from the get-go on Tuesday. On Buffalo’s first offensive possession, a Josh Allen pass went off the hands of Andre Roberts and into the arms of Malcolm Butler, abruptly ending their first drive and giving the Titans a short field to work with, as they started their first series on offense at the Buffalo 16-yard line.’
Opinion: Bills at Titans – Arrow Up/Arrow Down
‘The Bills just didn’t seem like they were ready for this game, for whatever reason. They started slow, dropped passes, had pre-snap penalties, and generally looked lackadaisical throughout a lot of the game. They were undisciplined and not focused. This was not the Bills team we’ve been accustomed to seeing under Sean McDermott overall, and especially through the first four games of this season.’
Titans have no new positive COVID-19 tests
‘The Tennessee Titans had no new positive COVID-19 test results from Sunday’s round of testing, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.’
Opinion: Bills at Titans: Sal’s keys, notes and stats
‘The Bills certainly have plenty of reasons to not be in sync in this game. They had no idea who their next game was even against as of Saturday and essentially had to game plan for two different opponents over the weekend. They’ve had to think, and worry, about their opponent having a Covid outbreak just days before they have to block and tackle them. But no matter what the circumstances, they have to do their best to stay focused on the task at hand and playing a football game against likewise unbeaten team. The Bills are very fortunate to have people like general manager Brandon Beane and head coach Sean McDermott in charge. They’re on top of everything, and extremely measured. Their players are usually a reflection of them and don’t let get too caught up in things they can’t control. They need to keep doing that Tuesday night.’
