‘In addition to not letting Baltimore run wild, the Bills defense stiffened when it had to. The Ravens were 0-for-3 in the red zone, 0-for-2 on goal-to-go situations, and 0-for-2 on fourth down. Five of the Ravens’ 10 drives advanced inside the Bills’ 30-yard line, and all they had to show for it was one field goal.’

Opinion: We’re all out of town
‘Living far away in pre-internet days, the Bills getting good became a way for me to stay in touch with Buffalo. Eventually, it would become the driving force in leading me home to enroll at Buffalo State to pursue talking on the radio as a career.’
Bills advance to AFC Championship with win over Ravens
‘Diggs finished tied for a team-lead with eight catches for a game-high 106 yards to go with his touchdown reception. Fellow receiver John Brown also caught eight passes for 62 yards. Singletary, finished third on the Bills in catches, finishing with three. The running back also led Buffalo with 25 rushing yards on seven carries.’
Report: Brian Daboll emerges as front-runner in Chargers’ head coaching search

Opinion: Ravens at Bills: Arrow Up/Arrow Down
‘I absolutely have to start with Johnson because he made what will go down as one of the biggest plays in franchise history when he intercepted Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and returned it 101 yards for a touchdown, putting the Bills up 17-3. Prior to that play, the Ravens were knocking on the door of the Bills end zone and looking to tie the game at 10. So it was at least a 10-point swing, and possibly 14 point swing. On top of that play, however, Johnson was terrific all night long. He finished with six tackles, one for a loss, a pass breakup, and the pick-six.’
Opinion: Ravens at Bills: Sal’s keys, notes and stats
‘The Ravens are the most blitz-heavy team in the NFL, sending extra pressure on over 44% of defensive snaps. The Bills have been excellent against the blitz this season. Josh Allen specifically has been terrific against it. The Ravens will have to make a decision. Do they continue to do what they usually do and bring a lot of pressure? Or do they elect to drop more players in coverage and blitz less, possibly giving Allen more time? If they bring the heat, Allen and the Bills offense needs to continue to beat it the way they have been all season, or things will get tough, quickly.’
Ravens at Bills: final injury report
‘For the Bills, defensive end Darryl Johnson carries a “questionable” game designation with a knee injury. Johnson did not practice all week. All other players on the Bills’ 53-man roster are available to play.’
New York State will not lift 10 p.m. EST dining curfew for Saturday’s Bills game
‘“The fact is the CDC has specifically pointed to indoor dining as a higher-risk activity, and this policy is a commonsense way to reduce the risk of exposure,” read a statement from a spokesperson at the State Department of Health. “As much as we feel for restaurants in Buffalo and as much as we want to let fans watch the game at bars, we won’t sacrifice public health.”‘
Darryl Johnson misses second straight practice with knee injury
‘Meanwhile, wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley, defensive tackles Ed Oliver and Justin Zimmer, and linebacker Tremaine Edmunds were all listed as limited, once again, on the team’s official injury and participation report.’
McDermott: We’ve done a ‘great job’ playing in big games this season
‘”I think pressure is relative to the person and maybe the situation, but it’s all about how you interpert it. I think our guys have done a great job of playing in games that people would consider big, and in big moments of the game, in particular this past weekend. We try to stay in a routine, and make sure we’re ready to go to perform at a high level.”‘
Bills sign running back Devonta Freeman to practice squad
‘Freeman spent most of the 2020 season with the New York Giants after signing as a free agent in September of 2020. The 28-year-old appeared in five games for the Giants, rushing for 172 yards on 54 carries and one touchdown. He also added seven receptions for 58 yards in his short tenure in New York.’
Zack Moss out for the playoffs with ankle injury
‘When originally asked about the severity of Moss’ injury in his weekly Zoom conference call on Monday, Bills head coach Sean McDermott never gave any clarity on how long the 23-year-old will be out of the lineup. However, he did say with Moss out of the lineup, he has the belief in the other running backs in the group to step up in his place.’
Texans request interview with Leslie Frazier
‘Frazier has been a head coach in the NFL before, going 24-32-1 with a Minnesota Vikings from 2010-2013. The Bills defense has ranked in the top-three in the NFL in yards allowed in two of his four seasons as defensive coordinator (2018 and 2019), and second in points allowed in 2019. This season, the Bills defense ranked 16th overall in points allowed and 14th in yards against.’
Fans to officially attend Saturday’s Divisional Round game in Orchard Park
‘”We felt the energy from our fans last Saturday at the stadium and we know our coaches and players appreciated the support on the field. We have worked with the Governor, his team and BioReference to ensure we will host fans again on Saturday night. They have all been great partners in this process.’
Opinion: The Big Picture: Bills continue to ‘Find A Way’
‘McDermott uses these slogans and themes to send messages to his own organization, and especially the players. Of course we know “Trust the Process”, or what’s now become more known as “Respect the Process”. That’s been true since the day he got here, and will always be.’
