‘Cornerback Taron Johnson (groin), guard Jon Feliciano (concussion), and defensive end Efe Obada (ankle) all missed practice after participating in some capacity on Wednesday. Safety Jordan Poyer did not practice for a second day in a row with an ankle injury.’

‘Poyer’s starting safety partner, Micah Hyde, was limited on Wednesday with a quad injury. Guard Jon Feliciano (illness) and cornerback Taron Johnson (groin) were also limited.’

‘As part of this past Sunday’s win over Washington, Allen became the fourth quarterback in NFL history to record multiple games with at least 300 passing yards, four touchdown passes and one rushing touchdown, joining Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning.’

‘I can’t say enough about the game plan that was put together by offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. By emphasizing short-to-intermediate throws and having Allen get the ball out quickly, the Bills were able to neutralize Washington’s front-four, which is the strength of their defense.’

‘Buffalo’s offense got off to another hot start in this affair, as after receiving the opening kickoff Josh Allen and company went to work. The opening drive took just 4:07 to find paydirt, as Allen found first-year Bill Emmanuel Sanders for a 28-yard touchdown catch. It was Sanders’ first touchdown with Buffalo.’

‘I mentioned it during Countdown to Kickoff this morning on our Network Pregame show that it was very important for Josh Allen to get off to a hot start on Sunday. After throwing an incompletion on his first attempt of the day to Devin Singletary, Allen completed his next six passes down the field leading the Bills to an opening drive touchdown.’

‘The Bills defense did a great job overall and they did get pressure on Taylor Heinicke, but they never got him down, and several times the WFT QB escaped to run for a good gain or complete a pass.’

‘After seeing how the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to disrupt the Bills passing game with very little blitzing in Week 1, Washington would love to do the same. But if they can’t and thus go blitz-heavy, they’ll give Bills quarterback Josh Allen and his receivers a big opportunity to take advantage.’

‘McDermott credited coach Jim Salgado – who primarily works with the team’s nickel cornerbacks – for Johnson’s growth, and said the team was blessed to have a coach like Salgado on staff.’

‘However, cornerback Levi Wallace, who was a full participant on Wednesday, was downgraded to limited on Thursday as he deals with a knee injury.’

‘Anderson was selected by the Bills with the 236th overall pick in the seventh round in this past April’s 2021 NFL Draft out of Texas Tech University. After seeing some game action in the preseason, he was then signed to the Bills’ practice squad. He joined a practice squad along with fellow draftee cornerback Rachad Wildgoose amongst others after the final round of cuts were made around the NFL this past offeseason.’

‘I wasn’t panicking after the season-opening loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1, but I would have been in a very dark place had the Bills lost in South Florida too.’

‘If you were simply looking for a bounce back win and a second-straight strong performance from the defense, this was your game. Both teams were careless with the ball, and Miami was using a backup quarterback for most of the game.’

‘After the new vaccination policies were announced by Erie County Executive Mark Polancarz last week, in conjunction with Pegula Sports and Entertainment and the Bills, any season ticket holder who wished to receive a refund had to make the request by Friday at 8 p.m. ET.’
