‘Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced Friday morning on WGR that safety Micah Hyde (neck), defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (hamstring) and cornerback Dane Jackson (neck) would all miss Sunday’s contest in South Florida. Then after practice, it was revealed that defensive tackle Ed Oliver (ankle) was going to miss his second-straight game.’

‘“It’s never a good time to be missing guys. That said, we have confidence in the guys that are going to be asked to step up and fill those gaps, whether it’s in their position or other positions,” McDermott said with Sal Capaccio and Joe DiBiase.’

‘Prior to the chilly and rainy practice just outside the ADPRO Sports Training Center, head coach Sean McDermott informed the media that four players would not be participating, including both starting safeties Micah Hyde (neck) and Jordan Poyer (foot), as well as starting cornerback Dane Jackson (neck) and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (hamstring).’

‘Rookies Christian Benford and Kaiir Elam have been alternating for two games opposite Jackson. If Jackson can’t play on Sunday, both rookies would have to start.’

‘Hart will be next eligible to play for the Bills on Sunday, Oct. 2 when they travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens.’

‘McDermott said it’s still too early to give more of an evaluation on the injured players, and said the team will take it “day-by-day” with each.’

‘Josh Allen was on point under center once more, especially once the Bills decided that the run game was for squares. The batted passes were a slight downer to block the perfection of the coveted A+ grade.’

‘”You see those two putting in a lot of time. Even when meetings are over they’re in there watching film and getting themselves ready to go.”‘

‘The Bills received the opening kick-off and got to work right away. Quarterback Josh Allen lead the offense 75 yards down the field in just under six minutes. Allen capped off the drive with a short 11-yard pass to full back Reggie Gilliam for his first career touchdown.’

‘”Getting him the ball early and often, he did a great job getting open. Making plays making some great catches. He is what he is, it’s Stefon Diggs. We know he is one of the greatest if not the greatest receiver in this game right now. I trust him implicitly. I love that guy he works his tail off.”‘

‘The Bills were too sloppy and unable to execute on several short-yardage situations, including third and fourth down.’

‘As it turns out, the high point for the visitors came on their first drive of the night, as they answered a Bills touchdown with a touchdown of their own, although it shouldn’t have counted because officials missed a false start on the Titans offensive line.’

‘A great way for the Bills to not let the Titans control the game on the ground is to get up early on them and make Tennessee play from behind. With AJ Brown now in Philadelphia, the Titans don’t have a true number one wide receiver, and will rely on rookies Kyle Phillips and Treylon Burks quite a bit. It will be increasingly difficult for them if the Bills make them one-dimensional and know they have to throw the football.’

‘The Buffalo Bills held a walk-through practice on Friday, but defensive tackles Ed Oliver and Tim Settle, as well as cornerback Dane Jackson all were listed on non-participants once again as the team prepares to face the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.’

‘”The schedule is different were used to these seven day, pretty routine based weeks, and getting ready for that game and then the time between that game and this next game was a little bit different then were used to,” said McDermott while chatting with Sal Capaccio and Joe DiBiase.’
