‘Miami (4-6) will play twice before the Bills return to action Dec. 1 when they host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football. The Dolphins host New England (3-8) Sunday, and then have to go to Green Bay (7-3) four nights later to play the Packers on Thanksgiving. If the Dolphins lose either of those games, a Bills’ victory over the 49ers would deliver to Buffalo a fifth straight AFC East crown, a feat it has never accomplished. And if the Dolphins lose both, the Bills would clinch the title before they step on the field again.’

‘“No new additions to the injury list at this point,” McDermott said. “The message I’m getting from our training room is ‘we’ll let you know how this week goes.’” The Bills had three key offensive starters sit out Sunday’s 30-21 victory over the Chiefs – tight end Dalton Kincaid, wide receiver Keon Coleman and right tackle Spencer Brown. They also saw left tackle Dion Dawkins and safety Taylor Rapp suffer what appear to be minor injuries in the game, though both returned to play.’

‘The simple truth is that this was bigger than going 1-0 for the week. This win came against their No. 1 nemesis, a team that has tormented them, and it came with the extra benefit of ending the Chiefs’ run at perfection as it was Kansas City’s first defeat after nine victories. Yes, the 1972 Miami Dolphins can pop their champagne yet again.’

‘Perhaps the most impressive aspect of this victory was how Allen continually survived despite facing so many third-and-longs. This was not a great day on first and second down, mainly because the Bills just couldn’t get any traction on the ground. But Allen fought his way out of trouble and he ended up achieving 13 of the Bills’ 24 first downs through the air.’

‘Sal’s prediction: Bills 23, Chiefs 20.’

‘There is speculation Bills-Chiefs could draw a bigger audience than the 29.2 million viewers who tuned in to NBC for the NFL season opener between the Chiefs and Ravens which is to date the largest viewership this season.’

‘Coach Sean McDermott said Friday morning that Kincaid is ruled out for the game after suffering a knee injury early in last week’s victory over the Indianapolis Colts.’

‘Coach Sean McDermott said Friday morning that Cooper and offensive tackle Spencer Brown will be limited in practice Friday and listed as questionable for the game.’

‘OK, it’s not all luck that has allowed the Chiefs to win their first nine games because they are a great team. But yeah, they’ve certainly had some things break their way to get them to 9-0.’

‘Coach Sean McDermott said Monday that wide receiver Keon Coleman will not play in the game, though that was expected. There has not been a decision made on whether Coleman will go on injured reserve, but for now, it seems like with the bye coming after Kansas City, the Bills are trying to avoid that.’

‘For the first time since 1993, the Bills have won eight of their first 10 games. In a weird slice of symmetry, that season, Buffalo played the Chiefs in their 11th game, that one was in Kansas City, and Joe Montana outdueled Jim Kelly in a 23-7 Chiefs victory.’

‘But Allen somehow found a way to get the Bills past a pesky Colts team because he made just enough of those Allen-esque plays to will Buffalo to a 30-20 victory over the turnover-plagued Colts.’

‘I wasn’t enamored with Joe Brady’s play-calling in the first half, but he got more in line in the second half. Same for Bobby Babich who had a few challenging moments in the first half, but dialed up a great plan in the second as the Bills limited the Colts to a garbage time TD with two seconds remaining.’

‘Sal’s prediction: Bills 26, Colts 19.’

‘When Allen was still a junior in high school, Flacco was leading the Ravens to their Super Bowl victory in January 2013 over the 49ers, winning game MVP honors in the process.’
