‘OK, the 25-year-old dropped the gauntlet so now it’s up to him to back up his bold talk, because across his first four seasons, he has been a good player, but probably not the player the Bills thought he would be.’

‘“First year, he really did some good things, especially on the field on game day,” general manager Brandon Beane said. “I thought there were some rookie things that he did in practice that sometimes said, ‘Don’t do that.’ Just some learning things, but in all fairness to him, I thought in games he cleaned up a lot of that.”’

‘Now Singletary is gone and the Bills will be looking to get more out of Cook because as a second-round pick, let’s be fair; he needs to step up and become the primary back. Having Damien Harris and Nyheim Hines is nice, but as a second-rounder, Cook needs to be the main man.’

‘It’s funny because Knox was just given a four-year contract extension last season, yet Kincaid may wind up being the type of player the Bills wish Knox would have become by now – a tight end who is a true difference-maker down the field the way stars Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews and George Kittle are for their teams.’

‘“It’s an accumulation of things, I think,” he said, trying to explain why he believes he will be more in tune with everything heading into training camp and the regular season. “Just understanding our window, and I want to give everything that I have for as long as I play. I’m not saying that I haven’t done that in the past, but there’s always new ways that I can find to get better.”’

‘Parking for training camp will be like the past and fans may park at Pittsford Sutherland or Pittsford Mendon and take a shuttle bus to training camp for $1. There is no public parking on campus.’

‘As we learned later in the day, Diggs was at the stadium Monday for his physical, and he was there Tuesday and spoke with McDermott, Josh Allen, and Brandon Beane and possibly others, then left before practice began. So the “very concerned” comment seemed unusual given that McDermott had just spoken with Diggs, at the facility.’

‘It was clear that McDermott is not happy about what is happening with Diggs, but he would got get into it any further, saying that he’s concentrating on practicing with the players who are in attendance, which would be every other player on the roster.’

‘I also don’t understand why coach Sean McDermott would stir the embers with a comment that, in hindsight, did not portray him in a good light.’
