‘As for the group battling for the fifth and sixth receiver spots, it’s going to be an important two days for Ray-Ray McCloud, Isaiah McKenzie, Robert Foster, and Cam Phillips who need to show up in these workouts.’

‘“I was with him, but it’s been a few years since the last time we worked together,” McDermott said. “But what I remember is the competitiveness, the toughness. Obviously, he’s played in this system before so he has some familiarity with our system, both in the slot and at corner. We’ll see how he does and how he progresses. He’s been out of it a little bit, so he has to play himself back into shape. We just want to get him acclimated to what we do and his new surroundings and teammates and take it one day at a time.”’

‘“It’s early in camp and that tends to be the case,” coach Sean McDermott said of the offense looking out of sync, especially when you consider it is facing a talented Buffalo defense that is almost unchanged in terms of personnel from a year ago. “I thought there were small victories within the practice on the offensive side, and I saw some mental toughness. We just have to do our job and get better and understand what our roles are.”’
