‘McDermott said he and Beane had a conversation about the potential non-football implications of signing Kaepernick, who filed a collusion grievance last year against the NFL accusing NFL owners of conspiring to keep him off teams because of his controversial protests during the national anthem.’

‘Pryor, who signed a one-year deal with Buffalo, will play his former team, the Jets, on Nov. 11 at MetLife Stadium. The Bills and Jets will meet again in December at New Era Field.’

‘Peterman has started three games since the Bills selected him in the fifth round of the 2017 draft. He has thrown seven interceptions in those games and his 16.8 passer rating in starts ranks last among all NFL quarterbacks to have started since last season.’

‘Bills coach Sean McDermott confirmed Tuesday that Pryor was traveling back to Buffalo, prior to the deal’s being announced. McDermott did not want to say whether Pryor would be considered to play quarterback given injuries to rookie Josh Allen (elbow) and veteran Derek Anderson (concussion).’

‘Buffalo has spoken to at least three teams, but none has been willing to offer what it would take to get a deal done for McCoy, according to sources.’

‘Running back LeSean McCoy traveled back with the Bills from Indianapolis but remains in the concussion protocol after suffering a head injury Sunday, McDermott said.’

‘Quarterback Derek Anderson, who started Sunday’s game less than two weeks after being signed by the Bills, was seen limping through the locker room after the game. Anderson said he got a “little banged up,” although he finished the contest.

‘”That’s always part of the evaluation,” McDermott said of Peterman’s performances. “But one piece, not every piece of it. I feel like this is the right decision for our football team right now.”‘

‘ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported that Allen’s injury is to the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right elbow. It is not considered major at this time, but his MRI will be sent to noted orthopedist specialist Dr. James Andrews for a second opinion, which has become standard operating procedure. One of the Bills’ orthopedic specialists, Dr. Leslie Bisson, completed his fellowship under Dr. Andrews.’

‘The Eagles believe that they have the running back depth they need, and they wouldn’t make a trade unless it was similar to their deal last year that sent a fourth-round pick to the Miami Dolphins for Jay Ajayi, according to sources.’

‘Then, asked if McCoy was available in a trade, McDermott responded, “Men, this is why I came out and started where I started [in the news conference]. If you just want to hear the same reply, I’ll give you the same reply. I respect where you’re coming from and the jobs you have to do. Respect where I’m coming from. He’s a valuable member of our football team, and I’m gonna leave it at that.”‘

‘No deal has been finalized, and the Bills will have to make at least one roster move Monday to accommodate Anderson. The Bills also may have to assess their roster needs if more injuries surface from Sunday’s game against the Titans.’

‘Cordon had not previously accused McCoy of physical abuse against her, but she said during a news conference last week that other women had contacted her with claims that McCoy physically abused them. When asked at that news conference whether Cordon also experienced abuse by McCoy, Cordon’s attorney declined to answer.’
