‘The Bills’ backup quarterback is Mitchell Trubisky, a No. 2 overall pick by the Chicago Bears. He landed in Buffalo after Chicago did not pick up his fifth-year option. Trubisky has not yet had to play meaningful snaps, but he has come in at the end of blowout games.’

Feliciano was dealing with a calf injury over the past five games and returned to practice last week. Buffalo will be trying to take down the team that dominated the AFC East for so many years and has beaten the Bills in 35 of 42 games under Bill Belichick, with two of the Bills’ wins coming last year. The Patriots won 17 AFC East titles under Belichick and spent 233 weeks in first place since 2000, nearly 200 more than anyone else.’

‘Lotulelei was placed on the COVID-19 list the day of the Bills’ Week 10 game against the New York Jets. He has missed the last three games after opting out last season due to COVID-19 concerns and was a key missing component to the Bills’ run defense. He has two sacks this season.’

‘The injury happened in the second quarter of the team’s 31-6 win over the Saints. White was able to walk off the field on his own with a limp, but eventually was ruled out of the game. Dane Jackson replaced him and will be expected to do so going forward. White, a Shreveport native and former LSU player, was visibly emotional coming off the field.’

‘When White is the nearest defender this season, the All-Pro corner is allowing a 50.8% completion percentage and 58.9 passer rating, both fourth-best among defensive backs with 50-plus targets this season, per NFL Next Gen Stats.’

‘Without Brown — who has started four games this season — the right side of the line will have to adjust yet again. Right guard Daryl Williams could move to the third-round pick’s spot at right tackle if needed. Cody Ford, a 2019 second-round pick, started at right guard in the 9-6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and underperformed. Ryan Bates is another candidate at guard.’

‘The defensive tackle opted out last season because of concerns related to COVID-19. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and wide receiver Jake Kumerow remain on the list, while quarterback Jake Fromm and wide receiver Tanner Gentry, who are on the practice squad, came off the list this week.’

‘The Bills’ offense has struggled in the past two games, averaging 16 points per game compared to 32.7 over the first six games. Knox has become one of quarterback Josh Allen’s go-to targets, catching five touchdowns over a four-game stretch. The Bills’ needed Knox to step up at tight end this year, and so far he has.’

Allen finished the day completing 31 of 47 passes for 264 yards, and ran for 50 yards on five carries. Buffalo’s running backs, who have struggled this season, didn’t help matters. They were held to 22 yards on nine carries.’

‘Two of the team’s four quarterbacks are now unavailable. Practice squad quarterback Davis Webb was elevated to the active roster to back up Josh Allen for Sunday’s game at the Jacksonville Jaguars, with Buffalo’s decision to keep two quarterbacks on the practice squad paying off.’
