Bills defenders Micah Hyde, AJ Epenesa out against Cowboys

‘Epenesa suffered the rib injury in the Bills’ win over the Chiefs last week, leaving the game after tipping a pass and then catching it for an interception on Kansas City’s first drive of the game. Hyde missed almost all of last season following neck surgery, and issues with his neck have been reoccurring this season.’

Stefon Diggs seeks big game vs. Cowboys, even with brother sidelined

‘But one area where the Bills have struggled to get going is with Diggs. The team’s clear No. 1 receiver has not had a 100-yard receiving performance since Week 6 against the Giants. Through his first six games, Diggs caught 49 of 66 targets for 620 yards (103.3 per game), five touchdowns and two drops, numbers that were on pace for career highs. In his past seven games, Diggs has caught 38 of 66 targets for 373 yards for three touchdowns with five drops.’

James Cook, Bills defense making strides ahead of playoff run

‘Although they weren’t always pretty, the Bills got the 20-17 win. Some season-long issues cropped up again, but there were also bright spots in the performance. And now, despite sitting in 11th place in the AFC due to tiebreakers, the Bills have a 38% to make the playoffs, per ESPN Analytics.’

Buffalo Bills ‘didn’t flinch’ in topping Kansas City Chiefs

‘”This week wasn’t easy. It wasn’t easy for Coach McDermott,” Allen said. “You can question a lot of things about coaching style, you can question a lot of things about my decision-making, you can question a lot of things about this team, but to question his character and who he is as a man … he’s one of the better humans on this planet, with how he carries himself, and we saw it for what it is.”‘

Buffalo Bills activate Dawson Knox from injured reserve

‘Knox was a full participant in all three days of practice coming off the team’s bye after his 21-day practice window was opened Wednesday following surgery on his right wrist. He initially suffered the injury in Week 5 vs. the Jaguars, but Knox later said it felt OK to play with it in the following game against the New York Giants. He also played in the team’s Week 7 game at the New England Patriots on Oct. 22, but Knox said, “It was really bothering me [that game], unfortunately felt pretty limited,” and after that, the decision was reached to have surgery so it would not linger.’

Will Bills-Chiefs rivalry decide Buffalo’s playoff fate?

‘Per ESPN Analytics, the Bills enter Week 14 with the toughest remaining strength of schedule, starting with the game in Kansas City. The matchup will mark the sixth time the teams have met since 2020 and the fifth straight contest in Arrowhead Stadium. And if history is any guide, the game should be a memorable one.’

Bills players, GM Brandon Beane support coach Sean McDermott

‘”I think Sean acknowledged that. I went into the team meeting yesterday, I think he talked to [the media] first, went into the team meeting and I thought it was very authentic. I thought the guys all saw that, felt that, and know Sean for who he is. I think you guys that have been around here some years know who Sean’s character is. I’ll stand by his character every day of the week.”‘

Bills coach Sean McDermott: Apologized for 9/11 remarks in 2019

‘As first reported by Go Long, McDermott told players in a speech to come together and used the terrorists on 9/11 as an example, asking players in the room questions about how the attacks were executed and referencing the hijackers getting on the same page. Multiple players who were with the team at the time confirmed the story to ESPN, while others who were there told ESPN they did not recall it.’

Bills’ Von Miller declines comment on felony assault charge

‘Bills pass-rusher Von Miller declined to comment to reporters at his locker after practice on Thursday amid allegations of assault on a pregnant woman for which he turned himself in to the Glenn Heights, Texas, Police Department in suburban Dallas a week ago.’

GM says Bills to let Von Miller ‘legal process play out’

‘”We weren’t there. We’re not the investigators,” Beane said. “We don’t, obviously, you know, we had our conversations with Von and understood what he believes happened and so, from that standpoint we can’t get into it. It’s an open investigation, and so we’ll just, we’ll let the legal process play out, and he’ll participate like normal in practice.”‘

Joe Brady ‘brings a lot of juice’ to Bills offense

‘”You can’t be results-oriented in the sense of when you win, you handle it differently, and when you lose you handle it differently,” Brady said. “… We can’t change who we are,and our mindset and our approach because of the wins and losses. We have to understand that we just have to fine-tune some things and clean some things up.”‘

Bills’ Miller turns himself in on felony domestic violence charge

‘The Glenn Heights, Texas, Police Department in suburban Dallas confirmed that Miller turned himself in late in the afternoon to face a charge of third-degree felony assault of a pregnant woman, which is punishable by two to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. He was booked into the DeSoto Tri-City Jail on a $5,000 bond and released a short time later.’

Why can’t the Bills’ defense close out games?

‘Losing close games has become a theme for the Bills this season. All of the team’s losses have come by six points or less, with four of those losses coming on the road (tied with the Green Bay Packers for the most one-score road losses). In four of the team’s losses, the defense surrendered a lead in the fourth quarter or overtime.’

Bills’ Shaq Lawson on confronting fan: ‘I made a mistake’

‘”Those of you who know me know that I’m all about the fans, and I have a lot of respect for the game I play and my opponents,” Lawson wrote on Instagram on Monday. “Before the game started yesterday, there was a fan behind our bench, who was making life threatening remarks towards us and our families. We asked Philadelphia security to remove the fan, but he was allowed to stay for the entire game. Eventually, our emotions boiled over, and I made a mistake. For that, I apologize, but there are certain lines that should not be crossed.”‘

Bills lament another near-miss after OT loss to Eagles

‘The Bills are 2-6 in one-score games in 2023, tied with the New England Patriots for the worst record in eight or more one-score games and tied for the second-worst record in one-score games overall.’
