‘Josh Allen was also heroic in the comeback victory. His start was shaky, with an interception on his first drive along with a trio of three-and-outs in the first half. The final drive before halftime catalyzed Buffalo’s surge, and the offense did a 180 in the third and fourth quarters. Allen lost slot receiver Isaiah McKenzie due to concussion and labored through at least three drops from his receivers in the rain. It didn’t matter. Allen was the Bills leading rusher with 70 yards on 11 carries, including a 4-yard scamper on a fourth-and-1 on a field goal drive in the third quarter, and the game-tying touchdown in the fourth. Once he settled in, Allen played fantastically in the rain.’

‘Buffalo recently lost star safety Micah Hyde for the season due to a neck injury and has also been dealing with injuries to corners Tre’Davious White, Dane Jackson, and Christian Benford. In last week’s loss to Miami, All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer was held out due to a foot injury, so this Super Bowl contender is awfully banged up in the secondary.’

‘Dorsey’s frustration was certainly shared by Bills fans that watched Buffalo miss several excellent scoring chances during Sunday’s loss. The first occurred before just halftime, when quarterback Josh Allen threw a short pass to Stefon Diggs instead of spiking the ball to give Tyler Bass a chance at attempting a long field goal.’

But Dolphins’ defense was able to stop Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense on their final drive to move to 3-0 on the season. The Bills are now 2-1 after dropping their first game of the 2022 campaign.’

‘Dorsey threw an epic temper tantrum in the coaches booth after time expired on the Bills’ final drive. The first-year coordinator slammed just about everything on his desk, along with his hat and headset, after Buffalo failed to get a spike off and attempt a would-be game-winning field goal from 50-plus yards out.’

‘Without Hyde, Jaquan Johnson is the expected starter with the team possibly leaning on Damar Hamlin to fill the role as well. The Bills’ other strong safety, Jordan Poyer, missed practice on Thursday due to a foot injury and is ruled out for the Week 3 matchup against the 2-0 Miami Dolphins.’

‘Hyde, a second-team All-Pro last season, did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday and is out with a neck injury. He sustained the injury while making a tackle of Robert Woods during the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game against the Tennessee Titans, and was eventually carted to the locker room. According to the Buffalo News, he will get a second opinion on the injury. McDermott would not comment Thursday on whether Hyde was with the team that day.’

But the Bills took over the game after that, scoring 10 unanswered points in the second quarter to take a 17-7 halftime lead. The Bills ended the competitive phase of the game by scoring 24 unanswered points in the third quarter. Of those points, 17 were the result of three forced turnovers that included Matt Milano’s 43-yard pick-six of Ryan Tannehill, who was relieved by rookie Malik Willis after throwing his second pick of the quarter.’
