‘For instance, just a few weeks ago, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs showed up for the first day of minicamp, only to leave practice and head home. It led Bills coach Sean McDermott to state that he was “very concerned” about the situation, although it ended up being resolved by the next day.’

‘To open the festivities, the Yankees will begin next Monday by honoring Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, whose heart stopped while making a tackle on Jan. 3. First responders were able to resuscitate Hamlin by performing CPR and using a defibrillator. He has since been cleared to return to the field by multiple doctors.’

‘”Him and Josh Allen seemed to have a bromance rolling, it felt like for years there, until there was a problem with their game against the Bengals in the playoffs,” RG3 said. “So, I think it’s clear, this is a personal thing between Josh and Diggs. And they have to get their partnership back on the field, and that’s part of playing quarterback. I think Josh Allen’s running into that right now. Everything is fine, until it’s not fine in a relationship when it comes to a quarterback and a wide receiver like Diggs. So Josh has to manage that relationship the right way and I think he’s the only one that can rectify.”‘

‘During their six seasons at the helm, Buffalo has compiled a 62-35 record and made the playoffs five times. The Bills had previously not made the playoffs since 1999. Their 0.639 winning percentage during that stretch is third-best in the NFL behind only the Chiefs and Saints, while only seven teams have won more than their four playoff games.’

‘Cook was impressive in a small sample size for Buffalo last season, finishing with 89 carries for 507 yards and two touchdowns — averaging 5.7 yards per carry. He showed his versatility out of the backfield, catching 21 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown and averaging 8.6 yards per reception.’

‘”I’ve gotten to know Aaron a little bit over the years, and I would consider us very close,” Allen said (via The Ringer). “I wouldn’t say we text on the regular. I don’t really call him, I FaceTime him. He usually answers, which is a big plus. I know he doesn’t answer a lot of people.”‘

‘However, the ending to the 2022 season was dramatic for Diggs and the Bills. After being upset by the Cincinnati Bengals on their home field in the divisional round, The Athletic reported that Diggs sprinted out of the locker room with all of his things before some of Buffalo’s coaching staff even made it down to the tunnel that leads to the locker room. He was seen “exchanging some words” with Allen on the sideline during the loss, and later took to Twitter to explain that he just wasn’t OK with losing. In that 17-point defeat, Diggs caught just 4 of 10 targets for 35 yards.’

‘McDermott also told reporters Wednesday that the team is “in a good spot” with Diggs and added, “I feel like it’s resolved.” He explained that his “very concerned” characterization of the situation about Diggs was due to his importance to the team and said that he gave the wideout permission to leave after things reached a point that they needed a break.’

‘Diggs’ agent, Adisa Bakari, subsequently addressed the situation Tuesday (via ESPN). Bakari said Diggs is in Buffalo, has been in Buffalo since Monday morning, took a physical and even met with McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane. Bakari said Diggs “will be there for the entirety of the minicamp.”‘

‘The new “Madden,” set for an Aug. 18 worldwide release, commemorates one of the game’s most dynamic players at the most important position, with Allen fresh off his third straight season with at least 40 combined touchdowns. It also comes just a year after the NFL rallied around Allen’s team following the tragedy-turned-inspiration of Damar Hamlin.’

‘This is the first time in an OTA that is open to the media that Hamlin was spotted making this type of progress.’

‘This is a notable addition for a Bills team that has Super Bowl expectations coming into 2023 as Floyd not only will be able to be a key member off the edge, but he also has championship pedigree. The 30-year-old spent the last three seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, including the 2021 season when the organization was able to win Super Bowl LVI. In that victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, Floyd made his presence felt with five tackles and a sack.’

‘Floyd was released by L.A. earlier this offseason but finds himself in an ideal situation with Buffalo while also reuniting with fellow pass rusher Von Miller, who he played alongside during that Super Bowl run in 2021. Miller is coming off a torn ACL that erased a chunk of his 2022 season, so Floyd could be asked to carry some extra weight early as Miller finds his footing.’

‘Miller added that he doesn’t want to rush things if he’s not really ready, but noted that he has confidence in the people helping him rehabilitate, and that gives him the confidence that he’ll be able to get back on the field as soon as possible. He did let on that it could take longer than he wants, but that the latest he could see himself returning is Week 6.’
