'The New York Jets have one of the worst rosters in the NFL. The Jets may have swept the Bills last season, but the some of best players from that team won’t be playing Sunday. Sheldon Richardson, Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker and Ryan Fitzpatrick are all gone. The defense will likely be a shell of itself, and the offense has close to zero fire power.'

'Every NFL team wants to stay healthy, but some teams need to avoid major injuries more than others. Buffalo is returning only 26 players from last season’s roster. The Bills’ depth is an issue at nearly every position on the roster with the possible exception of the offensive line. A few significant injuries could cripple the Bills, so any playoff push would need to start with staying healthy.'

'"Workload?" McDermott asked. "Whatever it takes to win the game. That's how we play the game. We play to win. Whatever it takes to win the game that's what we're going to do. If it means he's got to play every snap, that's what we'll do. If he's feeling good, like with every player, we'll look him in the eye and say, 'How do you feel? You feel good? Let's go.' 'Buffalo moved on from Jerome Felton this offseason and replaced him with two fullbacks. Patrick DiMarco is considered among the best run blockers in the league and should play a significant role in the run game. Mike Tolbert is listed as a fullback, but look for the veteran to be a part of the running back committee backing up LeSean McCoy.'

'“As a player, you go out and watch him execute. We’ll continue to do that. To this point, (Taylor’s) don’t a good job,” McDermott said.'

'“Yeah, whatever it takes it win. If we have to run the ball, if we have to throw the ball, whatever it takes,” Incognito said. “LeSean looks great: he’s dynamic, he’s making cuts, he’s a game-changer, he’s a homerun hitter, and I’m really glad he’s on our team.”'

On three different occasions in, 1970, 1973, and 2007, the two teams combined for 16 points. In 1966, they combined for 17. And good news, the Bills won them all.'

'The Bills are tanking this season, which is fine. It beats getting six to nine wins again. But somewhere in there, amid all the ineptitude, I stopped caring much at all. I don’t wish them ill, but my Bills fandom is lapsed. Does that make me a bad fan? Maybe. All I know is that when a friend texted to say the Bills had traded talented receiver Sammy Watkins, my first reaction was: that’s nice for him.'
