'“It felt great, and the ball was flying well,” said Hauschka, who made four field goals and, with kicks of 55 and 53 yards, became the first kicker in Bills history to hit twice from outside 53 yards in a game. “It was about 80 degrees, which it’s like that a lot in Buffalo, right? It’s like this in December, right?”'
Bills overcome bottled up McCoy to beat Broncos 26-16
'In falling to 2-1, the Broncos turned the ball over on each of their final four possessions, with Siemian being intercepted by E.J. Gaines and Tre'Davious White.'
Bills' retooled secondary shines in 26-16 win over Broncos
'"I wouldn't say they were picking on me," said White, Buffalo's first round pick out of LSU. "Every pass, I was pretty much there. I tried to have a good day."'
Taylor throws 2 TDs to lead Bills over Broncos
'Hauschka's 53-yard field goal extended Buffalo's lead to 23-16 after Denver failed on a fake punt from its own 31 early in the fourth quarter. Hauschka hit from 27 yards to make it a nine-point game with 3:14 left after rookie Tre'Davious White made his first career interception and the Bills ran 7:30 off the clock with a 16-play drive.'
Broncos, Bills continue anthem protests
'Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly — the former Buffalo star — raised his left fist. After the anthem finished, Kelly sought out Dareus, who is inactive for today's game, and had a brief conversation that ended with a hug.'
Jim Kelly on anthem: I hope Bills will instead stand, lock arms
'Kelly's comments came after Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who stood during the national anthem Sunday, said after the game that there must be consistent protests in order to enact change in the country.'
Bills surprise Broncos with 26-16 win
'The Broncos were given one last chance to get within a score late in the fourth quarter, but only got as far as the Buffalo 42-yard line. On 4th down and 2, Siemian underthrows Sanders at the Bills' 20-yard line to give the ball back to Buffalo.'
Bills get unexpected victory
'Tyrod Taylor had a good day. He only threw for 213 yards but he had some important pass completions to keep drives going and used his legs and escape ability to keep some plays alive. The touchdown pass to Charles Clay came in part due to the threat of Taylor running. When he rolled out it sucked up two defenders leaving the end zone open for Clay. Give credit to Rick Dennison and the offensive coaches on the play design. Clay is lined up to the right as part of a two tight end look over there and blocks down as the line goes left. But he released and was uncovered in the end zone after the aforementioned Taylor roll out.'
The Bills make big plays to secure a big win
'White made great plays on Emmanuel Sanders on two of the three plays. On 3rd-and-5, Sanders caught the ball, but White made a sure tackle after a three yard gain. Denver went into punt formation on 4th-and-2. They tried a fake snapping the ball to De’Angelo Henderson. White teamed with Deon Lacey to stop Henderson after a one yard gain. That gave Buffalo the ball at the Denver 31.'
Bills-Broncos: Arrow Up/Arrow Down
'Taylor had one of his best games in a Buffalo uniform. And even though he only threw for 213 total yards, he was decisive, confident, and accurate. He made good decisions all game and, as no one would have expected, the passing game carried the offense throughout the day. Taylor also had what I'd say was his best overall drive as Bills QB. After Denver had gone ahead 16–13 in the third quarter, Taylor and the offense took four plays to march 69 yards to put it in. Three of those plays were Tyrod passes – one to TE Nick O'Leary, one to WR Jordan Matthews, and the final toss a touchdown to TE Charles Clay. And all were excellent decisions and throws.'
Bills bounce back from week 2 loss to beat Broncos 26-16
'After a six-sack performance against Carolina, the Buffalo defense recorded three sacks against Denver and two interceptions in the 2nd half by EJ Gaines and Tre'Davious White who recorded his first career pick.'
Joe B: 7 observations from Buffalo Bills – Denver Broncos (9/24/17)
'This was the type of game plan we’ve been waiting to see from Rick Dennison, one that actually highlights Taylor’s skill-set. The more he’s moving, and the more he rolls out, the more comfortable he seems and the easier it is for him to see more of the field. This was a great step in the right direction, and that drive was all the Bills needed (along with some defensive stops down the stretch) to take the lead for good.'
1-on-1 with Bills HC Sean McDermott following Bills win over Broncos (9/24/17)
'Among the different topics, McDermott talked about what led to the victory, individual performances from Tre'Davious White and Tyrod Taylor, his thoughts on protests during the national anthem, and more. Click play above to watch the full interview!'
McCoy, other Buffalo Bills players take a knee, team locks arms during Sunday's anthem
'In addition to McCoy, among those that chose to kneel were Marcell Dareus, Shaq Lawson, Ryan Davis, Lorenzo Alexander, Jordan Matthews, Shareece Wright, and Mike Tolbert among others. Ahead of the game, Tolbert showed his thoughts on the matter in the workout shirt he chose to wear during pregame.'
Why Buffalo Bills star LeSean McCoy chose to protest during the national anthem
'I can’t stand and support something where our leader of this country is just acting like a jerk. You know… angry, upset about NFL players protesting in a peaceful manner. A lot of people go to different areas and subjects but, in this country a lot of different things are going on where people are protesting in a violent way. If a guy wants to take a knee or express himself in a different manner… he has that right. The biggest thing is that it’s in a peaceful manner. You know, that really bothered me. I think us as a group, as a team, we wanted to display that, hey, we come together as a team and show to the world that no matter how different each other, person are, we can come together.'
