Two Bills Drive

'Interning during Bills Camp truly is a unique experience. Whether students are doing it for course credit or just to get involved, we get a glimpse of what our first jobs could entail, hopefully giving us the leg up on our competition as we apply for jobs post-graduation.'

'The Bills spent a second-round pick on offensive tackle Dion Dawkins, who has spent time working at both left and right tackle. Seantrel Henderson, the Bills' primary backup at left tackle, is suspended for the first five games of the season. Jordan Mills, meanwhile, has taken most of the first-team reps at right tackle.'

'The idea of the Bills returning home was to get in front of the fans. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. Lightning in the area forced fans to evacuate the lower bowl and delayed the start of practice. By the time practice started, the crowd was much lighter than anticipated.'

'"Showing the appreciation," Taylor said. "They come out here, some of them travel from different places to come to practice. One lady said she came from Alaska. You have to show them support as well, too. More so, show them that you're thankful for them coming out here and spending the time."'

'"I expect our team to improve," Belichick told reporters at his Friday press conference. "I think that coach Marrone and the program they have down there will be good for us to work against. I have a lot of respect for what he did in Buffalo. They were a very tough team to compete against when they were in our division. He did a great job throughout his career at Syracuse and as an assistant in this league. I have a lot of respect for Doug and the program he runs."'

'In addition to tonight's practice, there will be plenty of things for fans to do before the game. The team announced that they'd have football interactives, mini golf, lawn games and more inside of the gates near The Bills Store. Gates for tonight's practice open at 4:30 p.m.'

'To this point, Glenn practiced the first six days of practice but has not since. The Bills are entering Day 8 of training camp, but that practice has been postponed due to weather. The session was scheduled to take part at New Era Field in Orchard Park at 5:30 p.m. It will begin a short time after that time.'

'Wrong direction for injuries: A week into training camp the Bills were on the right side of things in regard to injuries, but that's changing in a hurry. Micah Hyde missed his second-straight practice, but head coach Sean McDermott seemed optimistic for Hyde's return. Cordy Glenn missed as well, as McDermott revealed prior to practice the tackle had a second opinion on his ankle. Reports indicated Glenn will return next week at some point. During the session, Shaq Lawson (groin) and Ryan Davis (concussion) left early. Jonathan Williams was also shaken up but stayed. Lawson said after practice he's fine. But so did Hyde and Glenn just a few days ago. Stay tuned.'

'"If I'm playing with them here or watching them on tape, I never say, 'Well, man, he's doing things I can't do,' you know?" McCoy told The Associated Press. "I'm saying to myself, 'There's stuff that I'm doing that they can't do."'

'The person spoke to the AP on the condition of anonymity on Friday because the Bills have not disclosed that information after Glenn missed his second straight day of practice. Without disclosing the nature of the injury, coach Sean McDermott referred to Glenn's injury as "general foot soreness," and said it was too early to determine whether surgery would be required.'

'"I'm becoming more comfortable [with the offense" target="_blank"> each and everyday," Taylor said with Howard Simon and Jeremy White from Bills training camp on Thursday. "This is my second time working with coach Dennison, and I believe here we have a bunch of guys that fit this offense very well. He does a good job as far as getting the ball to our playmakers. That's one thing we've been focusing on throughout this training camp is getting guys certain looks, and allowing them to go out there and make plays in the best situation possible."'

'Clay looked like he was fully rested and refreshed on Friday. He made himself available time and time again, and best yet, Tyrod Taylor took advantage of the athletic tight end by finding him open in the middle of the field, and with room to roam.'

'The delay comes as a second round of severe weather moved into the area.'

'"It's just a little rain. This is nothing, absolutely nothing. After what we've been through over fifty years its not a big deal" Jim Geiger, an original Bills season ticket holder said.'
