‘“Fortunately, we have a guy that when things do break down or when the pocket is dirty, he finds a way to ‘be Josh Allen,’ ” Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady said at the end of the regular season. “A lot of times down on the football field, there’s a lot of gray. It’s not very black and white, and the best football players play the gray. And fortunately, we have one that when the first play is over, he’s able to keep it alive and make a play on the second one.”’

Jay Skurski: My 17 most memorable moments covering Josh Allen, from the draft to his MVP honor
‘OK, let’s get this out of the way now: To many fans and media – myself included – Allen should not have been the Bills’ most obvious draft choice. I’m more than willing to admit I was dead wrong. My enduring memory of draft night is general manager Brandon Beane coming out to speak about the pick and looking genuinely perplexed/annoyed when asked about the negative reaction to it. As it turns out, Beane was 100% right. He nailed it. Those who doubted Allen – again, myself included – were way off base.’
Ryan O’Halloran: A decade ago, Allen’s road to NFL MVP started at Wyoming
‘“He was such a great teammate and that was apparent from the start when we brought him to Laramie,” Vigen said. “He was going to be a guy people gravitated toward. He was this ultra competitor. He’s easy going, he’s fun loving and he’s still a kid at heart. That’s all real. He’s not trying to be something he’s not. In this world, some guys have to really try hard at that, but it’s not really complicated for him.’
Bills Mailbag: What to make of James Cook’s contract request
‘If I’m general manager Brandon Beane, dealing with Cook’s contract is not high on my priority list, at the moment. Beane needs to deal with not only getting under the salary cap, but creating enough space to upgrade his roster in free agency. He needs to have a plan for the upcoming draft. All of that takes priority over a possible extension for Cook, who is heading into the final year of his contract. The Bills also have to plan for Greg Rousseau, Terrel Bernard and Christian Benford, who are set to become unrestricted free agents after the 2025 season. Beane does have franchise tag that he can rely on, but that only guarantees one of them is back for 2026 if he uses it.’
Buffalo Bills looking for artists to contribute to new stadium collection
‘As part of launching a public art program, the Bills plan to commission professional visual artists or artist teams to create artwork throughout the new stadium.’
Buffalo Bills offensive lineman announces retirement due to injuries
‘The former fifth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft suffered a torn ACL in his second season, a knee injury in the preseason the following season and was placed on the reserve/PUP list in 2024. The injuries took a toll on the young offensive lineman. In addition to battling through his injuries, Doyle revealed that he was also dealing with nerve damage.’
Bills offensive lineman Tommy Doyle forced to medically retire at 26
‘“At this point, with the calendar and the healing process, it looks as though it’s permanent,” Doyle said in a statement. “I’m just unable to play football at a high level, and it’s time. When you know you know.”’
A new mural celebrates Josh Allen becoming an NFL MVP
‘But there’s a new mural in Larkin Square that stands apart from the others for one very important reason: It celebrates the fact that the Buffalo Bills quarterback recently won his first NFL Most Valuable Player award.’
