‘“It was cool to be a part of this,” he said. “Cool to see everybody in this organization – players, coaches, staff – everybody in the building for a couple months. I’ll cherish that, going on a run together. Obviously, we came up a little bit short, but the relationships that I was able to develop within this building will last a lifetime. Winning is only a part of this. Everybody wants to win a Super Bowl, but at the end of the day, I’m a big relationship guy. That’s why I feel like me being back here was good for this team, just to be a ‘glue guy.’ It was fun to be a part of.”’

Bills running back James Cook, center Connor McGovern added to AFC Pro Bowl roster
‘Center Connor McGovern and running back James Cook have been added to the AFC roster, the NFL announced Tuesday. Position grades: Final evaluation reflects another sour ending for Bills’ defense vs. Chiefs
‘Defensive line (1.5). The Bills were not able to exploit stopgap left tackle Joe Thuney the way Houston did the week before. A.J. Epenesa (46 snaps) and Dawuane Smoot (30 snaps) got most of the action over Thuney. Von Miller played only 16 snaps and only 10 pass rush snaps in what probably was his last game for the Bills. Why? Ed Oliver played the best of the defensive linemen with three run stuffs and two QB hits.’
Joe Brady watch: Playing catch-up limited Bills’ big OL packages
‘The Buffalo Bills found themselves playing from behind during much of Sunday’s AFC championship game and thus leaned heavily on their three-receiver personnel grouping (11 personnel) in their 32-29 loss to Kansas City. In a perfect world, the Bills would have been able to get into their big-personnel run packages more. They ran six times for 51 yards, an 8.5-yard average, with six offensive linemen on the field. But in 11 personnel, the Chiefs did a better job defending the run than Baltimore – which was the No. 1 run defense – the week before in the divisional round. Running backs were 13 for 47 against the Chiefs, a 3.6 average. They were 16 for 63, a 3.9 average, vs. the Ravens.’

Upon Further Review: Chiefs became first team to gain numbers edge on Bills quarterback sneak
‘But the Chiefs figured out how to crack the code, holding the Bills to 2 for 6 on sneaks, stopping them on a two-point conversion and a controversial fourth down in the fourth quarter.’
Scheer: Two words — the only two words — for ailing Bills fans
‘Go Bills!’
It will take time, but wounds will heal and the Buffalo Bills will contend again
‘After decades of heartbreak, after the miseries of Wide Right and Home Run Throwback and 13 Seconds, the Bills appeared ready to go the distance. Quarterback Josh Allen had taken his game to another level. James Cook was running wild. The offensive line was opening huge holes and yielding fewer sacks than any line in the NFL. And the defense was piling up takeaways and preventing points with the best of them.’
Hailee Steinfeld gushes over fiancé Josh Allen in rare comments about Bills QB as season ends
‘In a recent interview with E! News, the “Sinners” actress — who got engaged to the Bills quarterback in November — gushed over Allen, whose Bills fell to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game in what was a record-smashing season for the MVP candidate.’
Josh Allen’s ‘crazy’ defense of Sean McDermott after Bills’ crushing playoff exit
‘“That’s the crazy thing about it. … Time in and time out he’s got us in position… we’re fighting to get over that hump and he gives his life to this… he is so committed to doing whatever it takes. And to see him adapt and really grow as a coach has been fun to watch. It’s the growth from my first year to now… He has let players be them and given us the keys… it’s not easy to do that… I respect the hell out of coach.”’
One-catch wide receiver from Alabama stays with Buffalo Bills
‘In the third one, Shavers made his only NFL reception – and it went for a 69-yard touchdown in a 40-14 victory over the New York Jets on Dec. 29.’
No one understands suffering better than the fans of the Buffalo Bills
‘The Buffalo Bills’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship game on Sunday night was one of those defeats so painful, so gruesome, and yet so relentlessly predictable in all its brutal contours, that you found yourself checking in on all your friends who are Bills fans as if they’d just been in a car accident, or suffered a natural disaster in their hometown. Honestly, I half expected my Buffalo friends to mark themselves “I’m Safe” on Facebook.’
