‘ Turns out, the internal plan – move left guard Connor McGovern to center – was the right plan. The football people knew better than the non-football people. Again.’

Four keys for the Buffalo Bills to defeat the New York Jets (again)
‘When these teams met in Week 6, it was close: The Bills eked out a 23-20 win. Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen knows that even though the Jets (4-11) are down, the Bills can’t count them out. “I think these division games, they’re always going to add a little bit more flair to it,” Allen said Thursday. “They’re a physical team. They got a really good defense. In terms of why they’ve given me fits, again, I don’t feel like I’ve protected the ball too well against them in the previous years.” The Jets defense has been problematic for Allen in the past. He’ll need to play a clean game to avoid giving Aaron Rodgers and New York extra possessions.’
Bills-Jets numbers to know: These 4 stats could shape Buffalo’s game vs. New York
‘138 – The positive point differential for the Bills, highest in the AFC and second highest in the NFL, behind only the Detroit Lions (+194). Second in the AFC is the Baltimore Ravens at +132.’
Bills-Jets: Who you got? Buffalo News writers make their predictions on Sunday’s game
‘There is little doubt Josh Allen watched Lamar Jackson light up the Houston Texans on Christmas. It feels like support nationally has swung to Jackson being named the MVP. Allen might not let on publicly that he’s aware of that, or that it even matters to him, but the Bills surely are. His teammates want him to be MVP. Allen might not say so, but why wouldn’t he want it for himself? With a win Sunday, Week 18 is meaningless because the Bills would be locked into the No. 2 seed. Allen likely would start that game and hand the ball off to keep his consecutive starts streak alive, but then should come out of the game. That makes this is last chance to build a case for MVP. He’ll try to do so against a Jets defense that has given him problems in the past. This current Jets squad is counting down the days until the season is over, however, and that will show. Bills, 31-17.’
NFL MVP Tracker: Josh Allen’s lead over Lamar Jackson has dwindled
‘Buoyed by two national television games in five days, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has thickened the NFL MVP plot. Entering Week 16, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was the clear favorite (minus-1000), but after Jackson’s Christmas Day win over the Houston Texans, Allen remains the favorite, but at minus-250.’
Bills Mailbag: Special teams blunders should land coordinator Matthew Smiley on the hot seat
‘It is too late in the season to make such a big change at this point, but all of the glaring errors you point out in your question lead me to believe the Bills could make a change as soon as the current season is over.’
Stitch Buffalo refugees that make Bills-inspired hats to attend first NFL game
‘Three refugees working for Stitch Buffalo have been helping outfit Bills fans for the past three years by making popular Flintstone-inspired hats for Water Buffalo Club 716, but none of them has ever been to a Bills or an NFL game. That will change on Sunday.’

What channel is the Bills game on? How to watch Buffalo Bills vs New York Jets
‘Given the other two wholly awful 1 p.m. options – Titans at Jaguars or Panthers at Buccaneers – it was an easy decision to send the A team to call Josh Allen vs. Aaron Rodgers.’
Five Takes: Can Bills clinch No. 2 seed with win over Jets? Will Allen further case for MVP?
‘Buffalo will likely toe a fine line this week between pushing for the No. 2 seed and ensuring they are in top form entering the postseason. With significant injuries cropping up late in the season and playoffs the past few years, the Bills will hope to enter the second season with a roster that is fully intact in hopes of making their strongest push for a Super Bowl championship.’

Capaccio: Jets at Bills: Sal’s keys, notes and stats
’41-year old Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is dealing with a knee injury. He’s going to play, but he won’t be looking to run much and will be compromised when he has to scramble. The Bills defense needs to make sure he doesn’t have time in the pocket by putting pressure on him to either get rid of it, or take hits and, eventually, sacks.’
