‘On the Monday of the Bills’ bye week, Coleman, the rookie wide receiver, hosted an event at Highmark Stadium for more than 80 kids from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Buffalo. The kids came in buses to the Bills’ facility, where they first got tours of the locker rooms, had some time to play on the field, and then the main event: Each kid got their own Nike jacket. But, of course, there was the added bonus of getting quality time with Coleman himself.’

Mark Gaughan: Bobby Babich pushing right buttons entering stretch vs. offensive geniuses
‘“Like anything else, I think you get better with experience,” McDermott said. “To be a play caller is the toughest job, to me, on the football side of the building. No offense to anybody else’s job, my job included. Not only do you have to shape a game plan, but you have to call a game, and you’ve got 65-70 plays roughly on average to get exactly right, to get the players in exactly the right position, and that is really hard to do against good football teams, in particular.”’
Bills’ Matt Milano could return vs. 49ers: ‘He’s where he left off, if not better’
‘Sunday could be the day Douglas has been waiting for — because Milano is closing in on his return. The 30-year-old was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. He wore a red non-contact jersey during his first week of practices after the Bills opened his 21-day window on Nov. 11. He was out of the red jersey on Wednesday.’
Updates on Kincaid, Brown, Coleman and others from Wednesday Bills practice
‘Per Sean McDermott, tight end Dalton Kincaid (knee) was held out of Wednesday’s session, while right tackle Spencer Brown (ankle) and wide receiver Keon Coleman (wrist) were both be limited. Brown was wearing a brace on his injured right ankle, while Coleman was still without any bracing or wrap on his injured right wrist but was wearing a red non-contact jersey.’
How much should the Bills expect from Matt Milano as he nears return to action?
‘The Bills have not announced whether Milano will play against the 49ers and they have some time. Milano does not have to be added to the active roster until after Sunday’s game, and even if they bring him back to avoid losing him for the rest of the season, he still doesn’t have to play right away, like cornerback Tre’Davious White, who was activated on Nov. 1, 2022, but didn’t play for another three weeks.’

McDermott, AFC East-leading Bills refreshed coming out of bye week, and looking ahead to host 49ers
‘Buffalo has won six straight since back-to-back losses at Baltimore and Houston, and scored 30 or more points in each of its past five outings.’
High-scoring Bills return from their bye week to host inconsistent 49ers, losers of their past 2
‘Key matchup: Niners’ RB Christian McCaffrey vs. Bills run defense. Buffalo bottled up the Chiefs in limiting their ground game to 78 yards in a major sign of improvement a month after allowing 271 to Derrick Henry and the Ravens. McCaffrey and the 49ers’ usually sturdy run game has yet to get on track, with last season’s offensive player of the year limited to 149 yards rushing and 132 receiving, while yet to score a TD in three games this season.’
Bills defender goes to hilarious measures to stay warm during practice
‘The Bills defensive tackle clearly isn’t a fan of the cold, as he can be seen during practice sporting a full-blown winter coat – fur hood and all – under his practice jersey.’
Bills get good and bad injury news ahead of Week 13 matchup with 49ers
‘The other side of the coin, though, is that Dalton Kincaid did not practice Wednesday as he continues to nurse the knee injury he sustained against the Colts. Meanwhile, Keon Coleman was limited. So while Buffalo may be without two of their top weapons for the second straight week, they could be getting their top defender back just in time for a potential Super Bowl run.’
Another primetime NFL snow game on the horizon for Bills vs. 49ers
‘According to chief meteorologist Patrick Hammer of WGRZ in Buffalo, lake effect snow is expected for the Buffalo area starting Friday and lasting all throughout the weekend, meaning another snow game is very likely to take place as the Buffalo Bills will host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night. According to the radar, between six and 12 inches are expected to hit the Buffalo area from Friday to Monday morning.’
Bills OC Joe Brady is betting favorite to take NFC head coaching job
‘Because of the success of the Bills’ offense helping Buffalo start 9-2, offensive coordinator Joe Brady is quickly becoming a hot name in the head coaching bubble. And according to Bovada, Brady is the leading candidate to be the next head coach of the Chicago Bears. Other names include Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, current Bears interim OC Thomas Brown, Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, and former Titans head coach and current Browns assistant Mike Vrabel.’
Matt Milano takes another step towards return
‘The veteran remains on Injured Reserve, but the team can activate him to the 53-man roster by Saturday afternoon, allowing him to play Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers at Highmark Stadium.’
Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano trending in the right direction for game vs. 49ers
‘Regardless of the elements, Wednesday was a huge step in the right direction for linebacker Matt Milano. He practiced without a red non-contact jersey for the first time since his bicep injury and was listed on the injury report as a full participant.’
Bills injuries: TE Dalton Kincaid remains out, WR Keon Coleman, RT Spencer Brown limited in practice, LB Matt Milano close to return
‘Right tackle Spencer Brown (ankle) and rookie receiver Keon Coleman (wrist) were limited participants after missing Buffalo’s most recent victory against Kansas City in Week 11. Linebacker Matt Milano (biceps tendon) is progressing through his three-week practice window and has a chance to play Sunday night when the Bills host the 49ers, coach Sean McDermott said.’
