One of Cook’s rushing touchdowns went for 49 yards, which is the longest touchdown rushing in the NFL this season.’

Bills will need young reserves to have big performances in Week 3 after latest NFL injury news

‘Matt Milano was injured in training camp and is out indefinitely with a biceps injury. And now, the Bills’ other star linebacker, Terrel Bernard, is out for Week 3, as well. Bernard suffered a pectoral injury against the Dolphins in Week 2. And while it isn’t season ending, he’ll be out for a bit and will miss the game vs. the Jaguars, according to Matt Parrino. This means the Bills will really be counting on Dorian Williams and Baylon Spector, as well as fan-favorite Joe Andreessen. Williams was expected to be the third linebacker in the rotation, and will now be the starter for the foreseeable future. Spector came in and had 10 tackles against the Dolphins, which is already more than he had a season ago.’

‘Cook ran for three touchdowns on over seven yards per carry against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night to help Buffalo get to 2-0, and extended the dominance over Miami. The Bills are now 12-2 against Miami in the Josh Allen era. For his tremendous performance, Cook was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.’

‘The 24-year-old earns AFC Offensive Player of the Week after accounting for three touchdowns in Buffalo’s 31-10 win over the Dolphins. The first touchdown came via a pass from quarterback Josh Allen, while the other two came on the ground, including a 49-yard score to give the Bills a 24-10 lead in the second quarter.’

‘Bills coach Sean McDermott said the individual recognition reflects on the entire team. “Those honors don’t happen by themselves,” he said. “But it’s great recognition for those guys.
