‘“I remember it was a lot of more fun playing him when he was a young pup than it was playing him at the end of my career,” McCourty said. “You see a guy come in and is super talented, has all the gifts you want and everybody is complaining about the mistakes he makes – too many turnovers, tries to make too many plays – but you saw a progression, year by year, of less mistakes and even more big plays. It’s been fun to watch and see his growth.”’
