‘Clayton’s first exposure to American football was during the 2019 NFL Academy in England, a multiweek program for potential players ages 12-18 who are interested in the sport, but have little to no experience playing it. He checked into the camp at 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds and participated in one practice before leaving, a decision he quickly regretted after reflecting on the physicality, speed and mental quickness required. This sport was right in his wheelhouse.’
