Erie County halfway through payments for new Bills stadium; borrowing to begin soon
‘The County Legislature approved paying half of the money owed in cash and borrowing the other half. As of the county’s last payment on Friday, all of the earmarked $125 million in cash, which had been set aside by the county in savings, has now been spent, according to the Comptroller’s Office. Erie County will borrow for the remaining amount before its next payment to the stadium corporation is due in October.’
