‘Football in the 1960s was a true joy if you were a Bills fan. The 1964 Buffalo Bills compiled a 12-2 record and won the first of its two consecutive American Football League championships. The team was led by Jack Kemp (and backup QB Daryle Lamonica); running back Cookie Gilchrist; wide receivers Wheels Dubenion and Glenn Bass; and a vaunted defense that set a record for allowing only 65.5 rushing yards per game.’
