Allen will be experiencing the biggest changes of his career this offseason. A third play-caller (offensive coordinator Joe Brady) and quarterbacks coach (Ronald Curry) in four years. A new center (Connor McGovern takes over for Mitch Morse) for the first time since he was a rookie. And most notably, no Stefon Diggs or Gabe Davis at receiver for the first time since 2019, traded to Houston and allowed to sign with Jacksonville, respectively.

‘Right now, the Bills have just two running backs – James Cook and Ty Johnson – on the roster. They’ll likely add at least three more players at the position to their offseason roster, and given that they usually dress three running backs on game days, at least one of those players should be expected to make the team. It’s not thought to be a great draft for running backs in the early rounds, but that’s fine for the Bills. They would be better off using a mid- or late-round pick on a running back who excels at converting short-yardage situations, as you mentioned, Brenda, and can also hold up in pass protection.’

‘Instead of playing with him, there is a chance that Coleman could replace Diggs in the Bills’ offense. The Florida State product is considered a borderline first-round draft pick later this month – which means he figures to be in consideration for the Bills, should they stay at No. 28 overall. There is a chance that Coleman slips to the second round, although it would be a surprise if he was still on the board when the Bills are scheduled to pick at No. 60 overall.’
