‘“I think 2019 and ’20 were some of my happiest years,” he said. “Just that group of guys we had there, it was just different. Also, the Covid year was in there, so, I think that all changed everyone, that we all went through that together. At the end of the day, it was just us, just the players. We all became real close. “It’s nothing but love. I still talk to a lot of the guys there, from staff to players. (General Manager Brandon) Beane is one of the best men I know. Great guy. That time was always special.”’
