Senior Bowl observations: Texas DT is a throwback to Bills great Ted Washington
‘ESPN analyst Mel Kiper last week speculated that Sweat would be a good target for the Bills at No. 28 if they opt not to pick a wide receiver in the first round. It’s unclear whether NFL scouts view him that highly or if he might last to late in the second round. NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah lists Sweat No. 48 on his top-50 list.’
Bills Mailbag: Does Micah Hyde have a future in Buffalo?
‘Hyde sounded, to me, like someone ready for retirement. Now, it should be pointed out that things can change after some extended down time. In speaking with him, though, I think he was worn down both mentally and physically by the end of the season. It is always scary when a player is dealing with a neck injury, and even though Hyde’s doctors have cleared him to play, it has to be concerning to him to know that one movement the wrong way can cause the stinger issue that he is dealing with to flare up at any time. He did say that he feels better with rest, which keeps the door open, but if I was to predict the future today, my thinking is he will retire.’

Jim and Jill Kelly have devoted their lives to saving others from the pain of losing a child. Their work paid off
‘Knowing that, the Kellys and their Hunter’s Hope staff and consultants have worked for the last 20 years to get Krabbe on newborn screening lists across the country. It’s been a state-by-state effort, with 11 signing on so far, and a 12th (Minnesota) potentially adding Krabbe later this month.’
Nephew of Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs roasts Jets’ Sauce Gardner at Pro Bowl practice
‘“Sauce, what’s up? You trying to talk trash about my uncle (Stefon). I heard you,” Diggs told Gardner to the enjoyment of coach Ray Lewis and some of the other players viewing the interaction. “And look what happened. He scored on you on that Week 1 game.”’
