‘Since the first-play fumble, Cook has seized control of the top tailback duties, carrying a combined 45 times for 225 yards and no giveaways. He’s playing like a second-round pick. He’s playing like a guy the Bills can count on in 2024. He’s playing like he wants to be a featured part of the offense over the final five games, starting Sunday in Kansas City.’

Bills coach Sean McDermott responds to backlash over intent to play Von Miller
‘“I 100% understand. I get it, and I understand,” McDermott said. “This is not an easy situation. And I, you know, it’s the hardest part for us is I’m a football coach, I’m not an investigator. And I only, we only have so much information at this point. So, we’re doing the best job we can with what we have or don’t have, mostly in this case.”’

Bills Mailbag: Has Sean McDermott lost the Bills’ locker room?
‘I don’t believe that has happened yet, but McDermott does run that risk if the season gets away from him and the team misses the playoffs. You referenced Dorsey, and that is a good example of just how fast it can happen. The Bills’ offensive players were passionate in their public support of the former offensive coordinator … until they weren’t. There was a noticeable change in tone after the loss to Cincinnati, and Dorsey coached in just one more game after that. The players know how much they’ve underachieved this season, but they’ve been in every game. If things go bad down the stretch and the losses start to get uglier, McDermott does run the risk of losing the room.’
Josh Allen partnership helps New Wave spread brand recognition beyond Buffalo

Can Buffalo Bills rally around Sean McDermott in must-win game vs. Chiefs?
‘“Everyone is 100% behind Sean,” Beane said. “Everyone is not focused on the previous 12 games. I know we are 6-6. Everyone is truly focused … I was out there for every bit of that (Friday) practice. And just to watch that and see it. The guys are going to rally. There are two things you can do. You can divide, or you can rally. And I expect this team to rally.”’

Five Takes: Bills drama-filled week leads into critical matchup with Chiefs — how will Buffalo respond?
‘The Bills have earned two consecutive regular-season wins over the Chiefs and are in dire need of a third as they hope to keep pace with several other teams vying for a spot in the playoffs. Per ESPN, entering Week 14, the Bills had a 21% chance to advance to the postseason. With the Pittsburgh Steelers’ loss to the New England Patriots on Thursday night, those odds improved. With a win over KC, not only will Buffalo increase those odds even further, but a victory would also go a long way in clearing up the gathering storm that has been building the past several weeks.’

Buffalo Bills activate Dawson Knox from injured reserve
‘Knox was a full participant in all three days of practice coming off the team’s bye after his 21-day practice window was opened Wednesday following surgery on his right wrist. He initially suffered the injury in Week 5 vs. the Jaguars, but Knox later said it felt OK to play with it in the following game against the New York Giants. He also played in the team’s Week 7 game at the New England Patriots on Oct. 22, but Knox said, “It was really bothering me [that game], unfortunately felt pretty limited,” and after that, the decision was reached to have surgery so it would not linger.’
