Daboll’s return becomes surprise Taylor spot start
‘No one can fault the Bills for moving on from Taylor after 2018, given how well the Allen pick turned out. But I’ve always thought it was unfair when fans lumped him in with some of the truly poor quarterbacks of the franchise’s 17-year playoff drought. After all, he was the quarterback of the team that ended the drought in 2017. He had a 22-19 record in starts with the Bills and threw 51 touchdowns to 16 interceptions and ran for 14 more scores. Only Allen (93.1) has a higher passer rating than Taylor (92.5) in franchise history (minimum of 250 attempts); of course that statistic favors modern advanced passing games, and favors a risk-averse style of play like Taylor’s.’

Bills activate LB Baylon Spector, elevate CB Ja’Marcus Ingram for SNF game vs. Giants
‘Spector was a full participant in practice this week after starting the season on IR with a hamstring injury. Along with veteran A.J. Klein, who was added to the 53-man roster from the practice squad earlier this week, Spector fortifies the Bills linebacker corps after All-Pro Matt Milano sustained a leg fracture that requires surgery during last week’s loss against the Jaguars in London.’

Abbot Road establishments excited for Bills prime time game
‘“The campers have nowhere to go because the bills shut down their RV lot. So, you wouldn’t believe the people that pull up and have nowhere to go right now. It’s a boost for the whole area and to lose all that money for one game is crazy. It’s a good weekend for us when there’s a football game, let’s put it that way. It’s a night and day difference,” Ebling said.’
Carucci Take 2: The Bills should make good on status as heavy favorites vs. Giants
‘Vegas oddsmakers have this one nailed. There’s nothing about the Giants that should suggest they belong on the same field as the Bills. They’re every bit as bad a team as their 1-4 record suggests. Perhaps, they’re worse than that, given they could have easily lost to the 1-4 Arizona Cardinals in Week 2.’
Report: 3 Bills fined by the NFL after Week 5 loss to Jaguars
‘According to his Saturday report, defensive tackle Ed Oliver led the list for Buffalo with two fines totaling over $30,000. He was fined $16,391 for a hit on quarterback Trevor Lawrence and was also docked $13,659 for unsportsmanlike conduct.’
Thad’s Three Things: Bills vs. Giants
‘Bernard is actually the most important part of this equation to me. He appeared a bit overwhelmed in London without Milano next to him. Granted, it was hard for anyone on that defense not to feel their head spinning to a degree with all the players coming and going.’
