Rod Watson: Bills stadium project could use more frequent – and more public – diversity reports
‘For instance, she said, after a meeting of community stakeholders, Gilbane/Turner agreed to solicit local firms to do community outreach and compliance work, and she said local companies have reported being interviewed by the management team after responding to those requests for proposals. The fact that an out-of-town firm was hired to do outreach has been a sore point with both Baskin and local companies – and one that could have, and should have, been avoided in the first place. This move could help rectify that mistake.’
