‘For the season, Allen is 18 of 23 on play-action passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns, according to Buffalo News charting. That’s fourth best in the league in completion percentage (78.3%) and 10th best in yards on such plays.’

Bills Mailbag: Why was Poona Ford inactive against Washington?
‘Bills coach Sean McDermott explained Monday that the team wanted to have some more depth at defensive end because Leonard Floyd was dealing with an ankle injury. That explains why Kingsley Jonathan was active for the first time this season. Floyd had his ankle heavily wrapped during pregame warmups, but played the game without the wrap and looked just fine doing so, finishing with a pair of sacks. With Jonathan active, the Bills chose to sit Ford for the first time this season. For now, that comes down to a numbers game.’
Jim Kubiak: Bills QB Josh Allen’s polished performance and about that pass play on fourth-and-1
‘Allen didn’t have to be sensational, although at times he was. His poise, confidence, accuracy and timeliness quietly helped the Bills outpace the Commanders. His decisions were smart as he wisely threw the ball away when he needed to, ran when it was there, and slid to protect himself. This was a polished Allen performance in which he graded out to 96%.’
Three questions may hold the keys to who comes out on top of Bills vs Dolphins showdown
‘In his 10 regular-season games against Miami, Allen has been named AFC offensive player of the week four times, has thrown for 27 TDs with just five interceptions, has completed 63.7% of his passes for 2,684 yards, and he has rushed for 556 yards and four TDs. The Dolphins have a good defense, but I would expect that the Bills are going to score plenty and the issue will come down to whether the Buffalo defense can hold up well enough to win a high-scoring game.’
Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins: There’s one clear winner in Week 4 NFL power rankings
‘(Warning: The following rankings may trigger Bills fans.)’
Buffalo Bills’ new starting linebacker silences doubters after dominant Week 3 performance
‘“He’s a guy that seems like he’s always around the ball [and] he’s got great instincts, he commands the defense,” said safety Jordan Poyer when asked about Bernard. “He made some huge plays today that kept our momentum going and he’s going to continue to make plays for this defense.”’
Despite Miami’s dominant offense, Buffalo Bills open as narrow favorites over Dolphins
‘According to Fox Sports, the Bills are favored to win by at least 2.5 points.’
It appears we could be seeing a revival of once torrid Bills-Dolphins rivalry
‘Forgive me for feeling like the embers have been stoked and the fire in this rivalry is about to rage like it did in the late 1980s, early 1990s when Bills-Dolphins provided plenty of pyrotechnics. Back then, you had Hall of Fame quarterbacks Jim Kelly and Dan Marino dueling with spirals rather than six-shooters. Back then, you had Hall of Fame coaches Marv Levy and Don Shula matching X’s and O’s, with Levy’s Bills prevailing 17 of 22 times against the winningest coach in pro football history. That run was sweet payback for the 1970s, when Buffalo went zero-for-the-decade against their South Beach foes.’
Opinion: Bills grades: Week 3 at Commanders
‘Zero sacks, only one quarterback hit recorded. That is the elite work from a Bills offensive line that has been improving markedly since their Week 1 struggles against the New York Jets. Their play alone was enough to mark this as an A-.’
Dolphins explosive offense to test Bills in upcoming divisional showdown
‘There’s no doubt about it — that Miami offense is legit and explosive. Through three weeks, they currently lead the league in total yards (1,656), passing yards (1,091), touchdowns (17) and points per game (43.1).’
Leonard Floyd delivering defense for Bills so far
‘“He likes to play football and you know, I think just adding him was a good pick up,” Head coach Sean McDermott said. And you know, he’s athletic and and he’s very serious about about his craft. And you see that as you watch him. He doesn’t say much, but in his day to day interaction with with his teammates and his approach in meetings.”’
