‘“The more we can hand it off to Jimbo (Cook) and (other) guys and they’re getting 5-6 yards a pop and staying ahead of the chains and putting us into second-and-short situations – now we can hand it off again, we can take a shot (downfield), we can throw it short to get the first down,” Allen said. “There are just a lot of options when we can run the ball like that.”’

You got ‘Milano-ed’: Linebacker’s interception highlights strong showing for Bills defense
‘“Oh my gosh, that’s something you pray never happens to you,” Bills tight end Dawson Knox said. “Basically get put on a poster. You got ‘Mossed,’ but ‘Milano-ed.’ I mean, I don’t know man, that was crazy. That’s gonna be on SportsCenter Top 10 for a long time.”’
Ryan O’Halloran: Rotten feeling of Week 1 fuels Josh Allen in Week 2
‘If Bad Josh (turnovers), Disappointing Josh (missed throws) and Frustrating Josh (not sliding) was present last Monday, the home fans got to see Great Josh (no turnovers), Efficient Josh (31-of-37 passing) and Smart Josh (only one risky run) against the Raiders.’
Three questions: Dominant Bills not overreacting to blowout of Raiders
‘“C’mon guys, it’s Week 2,” said safety Micah Hyde. “It was Week 1 last week, and the sky was falling. It’s Week 2 in an early season and we’re trying to go out there and play our best ball and this is just something to give us a little confidence.”’
Bills notebook: Gabe Davis leads Buffalo receivers; Bills stick with same lineup
‘Davis finished the day with a team-leading 92 yards in a 38-10 victory against the Las Vegas Raiders. He had six catches on seven targets, one of those good for the two-yard touchdown. His longest of the day was a 40-yard catch in the fourth quarter.’
How it happened: Reviewing the Buffalo Bills’ 38-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders
‘Talk about a nice rebound from last Monday’s overtime loss to the New York Jets.’
Plays that shaped the game: Khalil Shakir, Gabe Davis TD help Bills shine in red zone
‘Overall, they were 5 of 7 on red-zone trips (71%). Buffalo ranked 10th best in the red zone last season, scoring TDs at a 60% rate.’
Report Card: Plenty for Bills to be proud of in big win over Raiders
‘It sure was an ugly start, as the Raiders went 75 yards on just five plays to an opening touchdown. Credit Sean McDermott for settling his defense down, holding Las Vegas to just three points from there. Offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey did a great job putting Josh Allen in position to make comfortable throws, and the quarterback did the rest. One small issue with Dorsey. The fourth-and-goal play design from the 1-yard line that had Allen in shotgun was an easy second guess. In that situation, why not just have the quarterback sneak it? It felt like Dorsey got too cute there, but overall, he called a nice game. The Bills were penalized just four times for 30 yards, which is an acceptable amount. Three of them, however, were of the pre-snap variety that McDermott hates.’
‘Big hole in the ground’ slows trip, but nothing stops Bills fans from getting to game
‘They snapped selfies with yellow backhoes and cranes behind them, as they were drinking Genesee Cream Ale and grilling Sahlen’s hot dogs.’
Josh Allen silences critics with surgical performance as Bills throttle Raiders
‘Allen claims he didn’t see any of the media coverage of the Jets game, and all the barbs he received, and I don’t believe that for a second. These guys see almost everything, and don’t ever think that they don’t. So I think that was part of what drove Allen to be great against the Raiders, the joy of spitting it right back in everyone’s face. You thought I was terrible? Well, watch this.’
Bills report card: Buffalo defense bounces back with incredible feat in rout over Raiders
‘Ken Dorsey will never not get heat, even in victories. It’s just the way it is for offensive coordinators. For instance, I hated his play call on fourth-and-goal from the 1 in the second quarter when it was still a 14-10 game. He had Allen in shotgun when he should have been under center and sneaking it in.’
Bills’ offense gets back on track as newcomers impress
‘While coach Sean McDermott’s defense had some early troubles — allowing a five-play, 75-yard opening touchdown drive — it made the Raiders’ offense look increasingly nonexistent as the game rolled along. Bills linebackers Terrel Bernard and Matt Milano both intercepted Jimmy Garoppolo, and the Raiders’ running game had an even worse day. Josh Jacobs, the NFL’s leading rusher a season ago, finished with minus-2 yards on nine carries.’
Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen get right in 38-10 win over Raiders, look like Super Bowl contender (instant observations)
‘Six days after Allen showed just how wild he can play, the 27-year-old reeled his game back in and put on an accuracy display against the Raiders. He completed more than 80% of his throws and completed passes to nine different receivers. Allen remained patient and didn’t seem eager to force the ball like he did on a number of occasions last week.’
‘Bunch of bull crap’: Buffalo Bills WR ignored critics ahead of Week 2 win
‘“I didn’t really see that much because I don’t have Twitter and I don’t watch the sports stuff,” Davis said after hauling in six passes for 92 yards and one score. “It’s all a bunch of bull crap all the time. They just sit there and judge everybody on their week one performance. ‘Is this team the best? Is this defense the best? Is this offense the worst?’ They just say so many things, I rather not even have that enter into my mind.”’
How Bills’ Spencer Brown built a cheat sheet to beat the Maxx Crosby test Sunday
‘The way Buffalo Bills right tackle Spencer Brown played on Sunday against Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby, it almost looked like he’d gotten the answers to a test earlier in the week.’
