‘“They outcoached us, they outplayed us,” Bills coach Sean McDermott said. “They wanted it more than we did. That was evident from the way that they played. … This is something we have to get an education from.”’

Analysis: Kaiir Elam remains stuck in neutral in Bills’ cornerback race
‘Then it was Elam’s turn for the final three series of the first half, while Benford stayed in the game on the other side in place of White. Elam wasn’t great. He gave up a completion on a third-and-3 situation when shifty Calvin Austin III got an inside release on him. Elam then was flagged for a pass interference call in the end zone in coverage against tight end Darnell Washington. It was a good call. Elam was in good position but wrapped his arms around the receiver in a bear hug before the pass arrived.’
Cheers to the Bills: Brewers scurry to craft football-themed beer
‘The local market has been flooded by alcoholic beverages with names that play off the Bills and a few of their most popular players and some of the longtime sayings and mottos of the franchise as local brewers and even one of the bigger corporate beermakers capitalize on the team’s success.’
Dion Dawkins, Buffalo Bills partner with air freshener company
‘Founded in 2019, Azuna offers a full line of plant-based, chemical-free household products that help neutralize bacteria, mold, mildew and other microbes. The company went from sales of $12,000 per month at the start to bringing in more than $1 million each month.’
Bills put on a sloppy, penalty-filled performance in 27-15 loss to Steelers
‘It’s safe to say that the Bills could not have played any worse than they did across approximately 45 cringe-worthy minutes at Acrisure Stadium as they trailed 27-0 after three quarters before scoring two touchdowns with Kyle Allen at quarterback in the fourth quarter.’
How the Buffalo Bills plan to respond to ‘reality check’ loss to Steelers
‘Protecting Josh Allen continues to be a large topic of conversation among Bills fans after a game that saw their franchise quarterback running away from pass rushers on several occasions. McDermott said the Steelers affected the Bills quarterback but his defense didn’t do a good enough job pressuring the Pittsburgh quarterbacks.’
Buffalo Bills backup tackle suffers gruesome injury against the Steelers
‘Doyle was in at right tackle with the third-team offense when the injury happened. He tried to find his balance as Nick Herbig was advancing toward quarterback Kyle Allen. Doyle tried to avoid landing on Herbig, who had fallen to the turf and used his left leg to try and land when it buckled hyperextended inwards.’
Buffalo Bills stock up, stock down following loss vs. Steelers: Time to trade or sign MLB?
‘Buffalo played a sloppy and undisciplined style of football against Pittsburgh that saw the Bills get outplayed in all three phases of the game. The end result was a 27-15 loss. Wins and losses don’t matter in the preseason, but Buffalo did not look ready to play on Saturday night and many positions continue to be worrisome for the team.’
Preseason observations: Offensive line struggles, Dalton Kincaid shines in loss to Steelers
‘It wasn’t an ideal first impression of the No. 1 offense — which did not include Dawson Knox, who dressed but did not play with finger injury — but it’s hardly cause for concern yet. The play calling in the preseason is always vanilla, while who and what was seen on the field against the Steelers won’t be the same as Week 1 against the Jets.’

Steelers display big-play ability as Pickett, Warren shine in 27-15 preseason victory over Bills
‘The good vibes of Hamlin’s return aside, the Bills showed there’s still plenty to work on before visiting the New York Jets on Sept. 11. Josh Allen completed 7 of 10 passes in what could be his lone preseason appearance but failed to lead Buffalo to any points during his three series.’
Steelers vs. Bills score, takeaways: Kenny Pickett shines again in win; Josh Allen gets first preseason action
‘All told, the Bills turned the ball over four times. Each of those turnovers resulted in points for the Steelers, starting with Porter’s pick of Barkley.’
Bills fall big to Steelers in second preseason game
‘The Pittsburgh Steelers scored on their first two possessions of the game, and the Bills came out of the gate stumbling and were never able to recover as they ended up falling to the Steelers 27-15.’
McDermott: Bills’ lack of discipline causes major problems
‘The Bills offense struggled to get going as the game began with the Steelers scoring on their first two drives. The Bills accounted for 13 penalties that added up to 19 yards over the entire game which did not help their efforts in moving the ball.’
Allen see’s positives in Bills 27-15 loss to the Steelers
‘Allen finished his day going 7/10 for 64 yards passing and one of the bright spots in the Bills passing attack was rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid who himself caught three passes for 45 yards. On Kincaid play, Allen had this to say. “He especially(Kincaid) came out and made some really nice plays for us and that’s a positive sign.”’
