‘The offense worked primarily on third-and-long situations, so the defense had a big advantage. Still, the quarterbacks – Josh Allen, Kyle Allen and Matt Barkley – faced a good amount of pressure and were repeatedly forced to check down and watch defenders swarm to the football.’

Bills working on boosting low yards after catch total – again
‘The Bills ranked 26th last year in overall “YAC,” according to the sports data service STATS: 1,597 total yards after catch. Kansas City led the NFL with 2,797 YAC. The Bills’ total had nothing to do with Ken Dorsey taking over as offensive coordinator. The Bills were 32nd in YAC per completion with Brian Daboll as coordinator in 2021 and 23rd in 2020.’
Diminutive Deonte Harty is proof that size doesn’t have to matter in the NFL.
‘The next thing you have to say is that Harty might be undersized, but you can’t hit what you can’t catch and through the first week of training camp he has shown off game-breaking speed which offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey hopes to utilize far more than his coaching counterparts at New Orleans did when they had Harty for four seasons.’
Gabe Davis looks good, McDermott misses practice: Notes from Day 6 of Bills training camp
‘“Sean and I have worked together for over a decade and so obviously there’s a lot of experiences together, there’s a lot of dialogue that we’ve had over the years, trust that we built with each other,” Washington said. “At the end of the (2022) season, once we sat down and kind of talked about his new role and how I could best assist him, be a great resource for him, we talked about that and we decided that that was a move that we wanted to make and I was excited to do it.”’
Bills’ Damar Hamlin clears another hurdle: ‘It’s been a roller coaster of emotions’
‘“It’s a roller coaster of emotions,” Hamlin said. “I pretty much lost my life playing this sport, so to come back and do it all over again, it’s all over the place.”’
Bills defensive line dominates on Day 6 of camp; Damar Hamlin with wow play (Observations)
‘Ed Oliver was unblockable no matter who he was lined up against. He had one sack where guard Connor McGovern had no chance. It was as if Oliver was back at the defensive line huddle before anybody knew what happened. Edge rusher Leonard Floyd was firing off the edge like he was shot out of a cannon, giving third-year right tackle Spencer Brown fits.’
2 Buffalo Bills players make NFL’s Top 100 list (so far)
‘Buffalo Bills starting linebacker Matt Milano came in at No. 69 on the list this year. So far, only the first 50 players (numbers 100 through 50) have been announced.’
Training Camp Takeaways: McDermott absent as Hamlin records INT; Pass rush dominates; Davis shines on Day 6
‘Although, upon review of a video posted by the Bills, Hamlin appeared to be touched down by wide receiver Andy Isabella shortly after making the grab, Hamlin’s INT was the play of the day. With his family once again in attendance on Day 6 of camp, the interception drew a loud cheer from the crowd, and exuberance emanated from several Bills players, many of whom followed Hamlin to the end zone to celebrate.’
Training Camp Observations Day 6: Bills defense shines on sloppy day for offense
‘Overall, Bills quarterbacks were sacked three times, while Damar Hamlin undercut a route and picked off Matt Barkley. All of this also occurred without Jordan Poyer practicing due to vet rest and with head coach and defensive coordinator Sean McDermott missing practice for a family personal matter, but was slated to return for meetings in the afternoon.’

‘Tre’Davious White and Dane Jackson joined him in the end zone to celebrate.’
Bills’ Damar Hamlin admits he was ‘a little scared’ at first padded practice since cardiac arrest
‘”It feels amazing,” Hamlin told reporters. “It’s a roller coaster of emotions. I was kind of all over the place, just kind of being back for the first time. But God don’t make no mistakes. I’m on God’s timing. As much as the NFL is on schedule and camp starts this day, this is all God’s timing.”‘
Bills’ Stefon Diggs predicts ‘breakout year’ for teammate Gabe Davis, says he’d be a WR1 ‘if I wasn’t here’
‘”I feel like Gabe Davis will have a breakout year,” Diggs said. “I feel like he had got nicked up a little early last year, but I think this year he’s gonna have an amazing year. He’s damn near WR1 in my eyes. I feel like if I wasn’t here, Gabe Davis would be a WR1 and it’s something that I can hang my hat on when I say that. He’s an extremely hard worker.”‘
Damar Hamlin Makes Falling Interception During Bills Training Camp
‘The timing on backup quarterback Matt Barkley’s deep crossing route was off target to veteran wideout Andy Isabella and Hamlin—promptly reading it—stepped in and intercepted the pass.’
Stefon Diggs has been unguardable at training camp
‘Diggs is routinely the target of quarterback Josh Allen, as he has been in games for the past three seasons, and just as he has over that time, either finds a way to separate from the defense, or make a grab that looks like he won’t be able to.’
Dawkins taking season goals day-by-day
‘”I have that overall goal in my mind, and it’s sitting up there at the top, but win the current day [first],” said Dawkins on Tuesday during an appearance on the “Jeremy White Show” at Bills training camp. “Be where your feet is at, mind, body, and soul, and control what you can.”‘
