‘The Bills have gone backwards since losing the AFC title game to the Chiefs during the 2020 season. They then lost a thrilling divisional round game to the Chiefs the following season and were embarrassed by the Bengals in the same round last year.’

Bills Training Camp Preview: Who’s ready to emerge on defense?
‘While Oliver only had 2.5 sacks in 2022, the former first rounder has the tools and the health to show the doubters why he got a second contract with the Bills. With Oliver’s help on the defensive line as a consistent playmaker in 2023, the group could pose as a big threat to opposing offenses. Be on the lookout for a new mentality and attitude from the DT in training camp.’
Bills running back Damien Harris hopes new team equals return to 2021 form
‘“We felt like we needed a slightly bigger back, but not a 250-pound cloud-of-dust-type of guy,” Bills coach Sean McDermott said of Harris. “To find a player with some size and with some power, but also has the speed element to go along with it, I think that’s hard to defend because not only can you run inside, you can get to the edge from time to time.”’
Bills position preview: Obvious goal for offense – have running backs carry running game
‘What to expect: A commitment to making sure Allen doesn’t have to carry the running game. They need Cook to take a big step in his second season and Harris to stay healthy after missing 15 games over the last three seasons.’
Bills training camp questions: Can Dalton Kincaid earn the No. 1 slot receiver position?
‘It’s funny because Knox was just given a four-year contract extension last season, yet Kincaid may wind up being the type of player the Bills wish Knox would have become by now – a tight end who is a true difference-maker down the field the way stars Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews and George Kittle are for their teams.’
Superstar NFL QB Josh Allen pays $7.2 million for Dana Point house
‘Buffalo Bills’ star quarterback Josh Allen is the owner of a 2,808-square-foot house in Dana Point’s guard-gated Monarch Bay.’
Bills training camp questions: Which experienced players are vulnerable to being cut?
‘They have a surplus of NFL experience at tailback, defensive end, defensive tackle and safety … and not enough room on the initial 53-man roster.’
Damar Hamlin’s Charity Weekend ties his past with goals for CPR education in the future
‘Hamlin’s Chasing M’s Charity Weekend tied together elements of his past with the future he is working to create. Across four events in three days in the city that raised him, Hamlin continued to make clear the importance of CPR and AEDs, a mission of his that crystalized in the days after he recovered from sudden cardiac arrest in January.’
Bills training camp questions: Can Josh Allen’s renewed focus bring him to a higher level?
‘“It’s an accumulation of things, I think,” he said, trying to explain why he believes he will be more in tune with everything heading into training camp and the regular season. “Just understanding our window, and I want to give everything that I have for as long as I play. I’m not saying that I haven’t done that in the past, but there’s always new ways that I can find to get better.”’
‘Damar Hamlin Day’ in Pittsburgh celebrated with CPR awareness event at PNC Park
‘“This one meant a lot to me,” Hamlin wrote on Twitter. “Thank you Pittsburgh.”’
City of Pittsburgh declares July 9th, 2023 as Damar Hamlin Day
‘”Pittsburgh is my home. I grew up here. Went to Central Catholic High School. Stayed home for the University of Pittsburgh. To have my own day here is super special. It’s further than a dream. It’s further than I could dream. So I’m going to enjoy this day.”‘
Bills training camp questions: Will Year 2 of Dorsey, Year 1 of McDermott equal scheme changes?
‘“Not that the offense is going to change drastically, but there are some adjustments that we have to make as we contribute to evolve and grow and we’re trying to win the Super Bowl,” McDermott said this spring.’
My View: Are Personal Seat Licenses really needed?
‘I am bracing myself, like all ticket holders, for the personal seat license fees. It’s hard to believe that an organization like the Buffalo Bills, whose fan base is blue collar, would impose such fees high enough that their fans wouldn’t be able to afford their tickets. The Pegulas and the NFL are already receiving $600 million from New York State taxpayers toward the new stadium. Do they really need to charge a PSL? It saddens me that hundreds of longtime ticket holders may no longer be able to afford a Sunday game, cheering on their team, in a beautiful new stadium.’
Bills WR, Danville native Trent Sherfield returns home to host youth football camp
‘The Buffalo Bills wide receiver made the trip back to Central Illinois to train with kids on the high school team before hosting his camp “Diamonds Amongst the Rough.”’
Bills training camp questions: How quickly can Dalton Kincaid make a significant impact on Bills’ offense?
‘“Just physically, it’s tough,” said Ertz, who was drafted 35th overall by Philadelphia in 2013. “You’re used to blocking people that are maybe going on to be lawyers or high school teachers. These guys are grown men who could be 30 years old and you’re 22 or 23 years old. So when I came into the NFL, I could run routes. I could catch the ball. But we were a run-first offense. It took a little bit for me to acclimate to the demands of the position for the Eagles at the time.”’
