After initially ‘swimming’ in new offense, Kyle Allen finds his footing with Bills
‘“It means you have options with everything if you know how to work the offense,” Kyle Allen said. “I always look at it as tools, right? How many tools can I use in this offense? How many tools does the offense give you to use if you can handle them and you can memorize them? The more I memorize it, the more tools I have and the more I understand they give you the freedom here to play how you want to play as long as it’s within the offense.”’
Bills position preview: There’s another new backup, but it’s Josh Allen’s show at quarterback

Bills training camp questions: Can James Cook become the primary running back?
‘Now Singletary is gone and the Bills will be looking to get more out of Cook because as a second-round pick, let’s be fair; he needs to step up and become the primary back. Having Damien Harris and Nyheim Hines is nice, but as a second-rounder, Cook needs to be the main man.’
Bills position-by-position questions: Can Josh Allen shrug off late-season slide?
‘Certainly his elbow impacted his performance, but Allen made some critical mistakes that he hasn’t since his first two seasons. No player has thrown more interceptions the last three years and the guy who had one pick in his first six playoff games had three in two postseason games last year.’
Damar Hamlin returns to Cincinnati to teach the CPR and AED skills that saved his life
In January, Hamlin crumpled to the turf inside Cincinnati’s riverfront stadium, a shock to his heart less than a minute later saved his life. It could have happened in any one of 32 NFL cities. But it happened in Cincinnati. It happened just a few miles north of Erlanger, Kentucky, where in June 2020, Matthew Mangine Jr. collapsed during high school soccer conditioning. No one ran to get an AED. He died at age 16. Kim and Matt Mangine, Matthew’s parents, spent the last two years building the Matthew Mangine Jr. “One Shot” Foundation (MMJF), which provides training on life-saving skills like CPR and using an AED. It also donates AEDs to schools and youth leagues. Now, Hamlin’s coming back, and teaming up with the Mangine’s foundation, to teach the skills that saved his life. Hamlin’s Chasing M’s Foundation will provide CPR and AED training as part of his CPR Tour. That tour stops in Cincinnati on July 22.’
