‘Milano signed a four-year extension in 2021, which would have kept him in Buffalo through 2024. In extending Milano, the Bills were able to maintain long-term rights to a key playmaker on the defense, while also taking care of a part of the process to get under the cap. There’s still more work to do on the latter before the start of the league’s new year. The Bills’ financial outlook arguably makes it a long shot for them to be able to keep Edmunds in Buffalo as well.’

Bills Mailbag: How would Aaron Rodgers landing with the Jets reshape the AFC East?
‘It means the Jets’ goal for 2023 should be to make the playoffs, but I would still consider the Bills the favorites to win the division. Rodgers took over as the Packers’ starting quarterback in 2008. Excluding two seasons in which he was injured and played less than than 10 games, his 3,695 passing yards last year were the fewest he’s thrown for in a single season. Additionally, his touchdown passes (26) and interceptions (12) were the second fewest and second most he’s thrown in a season, respectively. The point is, Rodgers, 39, regressed rather significantly last season. He’s not completely washed up, and if he’s healthy in 2023, he’s still better than what the Jets had at quarterback, but he’s not prime-level Rodgers anymore, either.’
‘McDaddy’ returns: Inside Bills coach Sean McDermott’s Hall of Fame weekend at William & Mary
‘“One of the best experiences a young man could ask for,” McDermott said. “To me, the advantage William & Mary students have is that this is not a place where things are handed out. You have to earn every inch of what you earn here on campus and when you get into the workplace, even though you don’t have the experience right away, you can lean on the intangibles that you grew and grew and grew when you were on campus.”’
After four-week delay, board will meet on Bills stadium deal
‘While broad terms of the stadium deal have been outlined in a memorandum of understanding signed last year, no detailed lease documents have been released to the public, yet.’
Buffalo Bills sign All Pro linebacker Matt Milano to 2-year contract extension
‘The Bills now sit roughly $11 million over the salary cap limit, according to Spotrac.com. Buffalo renegotiated defense tackle Tim Settle’s contract on Saturday and that restructured deal created about $600k in salary cap space.’
Watch: Bills’ Sean McDermott helps deliver scholarship to William & Mary player
‘“That’s huge. Especially coming from a walk-on that went in there and I wore number 83 as a defensive back and that wasn’t really a popular number back in the day. But you know, it’s a great honor, especially at a school like William & Mary, where it’s not just athletics, it’s the combination of a student athlete, both academically and athletically,” McDermott said.’
Bills Sign Milano To 2-Year Extension In Cap-Saving Move
‘The extension locks up a six-year starter — who is coming off his first All-Pro season — through 2026, and just as importantly helps ease the Bills’ immediate payroll restrictions. Buffalo is still projected to be about $11 million over the cap, leaving general manager Brandon Beane more work to do before he can begin filling several anticipated roster holes for the three-time AFC East defending champions.’
Bills, All-Pro LB Matt Milano reach two-year extension
‘The extension is worth $14 million per year, a source told ESPN.’
Bills, Matt Milano agree to two-year contract extension, locking up first-team All-Pro LB through 2026 season
‘Milano and Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt are the only players in the NFL with 25 or more tackles for loss and multiple interceptions since the start of the 2021 season. The Bills have allowed an average of 17.4 points per game in that span, the fewest in the league.’
Bills, LB Matt Milano Agree to Restructured Two-Year Contract
‘The 28-year-old had his best season in 2022, being named to his first Pro Bowl and getting his first All-Pro selection. The incredible year included 99 tackles—72 of them being solo—and he added three interceptions in his 15 games played. Milano will be entering his seventh NFL season, all of which have been in Buffalo.’
Bills sign Matt Milano to two-year contract extension through 2026
‘Milano was originally signed to a four-year contract extension just before he was set to hit the free agent market in 2021. This latest contract extension will keep him in Buffalo another two seasons, good through the 2026 season.’
Opinion: 2023 State of the Bills: Safety
‘There’s no doubt he’s played like that for the Bills, and is one of the top players in the league at his spot. But Poyer will be 32 in April and injuries have mounted, including missing four games this season. At some point the Bills have to start getting younger there. So it’s a tough position for them to balance.’
Opinion: 2023 State of the Bills: Cornerback
‘Jackson was the target of a lot of criticism from fans last year. He was often essentially serving as the team’s No. 1 corner, going against some of the top receivers in the league. That’s a tall task, and the Bills did get beaten by opponents’ top wide receivers a little too often. But Jackson is much better playing second-fiddle opposite a true number one guy. That couldn’t happen last year since the team did not have Tre’Davious White available until late November.’
Bills agree to terms with linebacker Matt Milano on two-year extension through 2026
‘As first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the move creates six million dollars in cap space for the Bills this offseason.’
Bills lock up All-Pro LB Milano on two-year extension
‘He had signed a four-year deal in 2021, a deal that was set to end following the 2024 season. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the move will save the Bills $6 million in cap space, which was something that general manager Brandon Beane wanted to emphasize in this off-season.’
