‘To be sure, he’s 29 years old, elderly for an NFL running back. But, at 6-foot-3, 247 pounds, Henry is a beast, dominating in short-yardage and with exceptional speed for a back his size.’

Ryan O’Halloran: Five free agents whose additions would help the Bills
‘If the Bills want to go the route of taking one big swing to represent their entire business, signing Powers to play left guard would qualify. Spotrac projects him signing a three-year contract averaging $9.4 million. He is nine years younger than Rodger Saffold (also a free agent) and adding him for multiple years would create continuity.’
Odds have the Bills as favorite landing spot for Derrick Henry in a trade – but is that a wise bet?
‘No. 1 is his contract. Henry is due a $10.5 million base salary in 2023, which is the final year of his deal. Any team acquiring him in a trade would be on the hook for that amount against the 2023 salary cap, unless it worked out a contract extension that lowered that amount. The Bills are currently over the 2023 salary cap, and have significant work to do to just get under the cap. Taking on a contract such as Henry’s without significantly reworking it might not even be possible.’
Buffalo Bills 7-round 2023 mock draft: Playmaker and protection are on the way for Josh Allen
‘While Beane deserves plenty of credit for building the Buffalo Bills’ roster into a legitimate Super Bowl contender, the team’s draft classes have been lacking in terms of immediate production. While starting jobs are limited in Buffalo, the Bills need to do a better job of adding players who can make some sort of impact sooner rather than later. Look no further than the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2022 draft. The Chiefs had multiple rookies play key roles in their Super Bowl championship season.’
Jordan Poyer’s model wife, Rachel Bush, gets candid in Q&A before NFL free agency
‘Bush has been one of the Bills’ biggest cheerleaders in recent years, attending games both at home and on the road.’
Opinion: 2023 State of the Bills: Tight end
‘The only player on this entire list that’s certain to be on the roster on opening day is Knox, who signed a four-year, $52 million contract extension last offseason, including $31.2 million guaranteed. That extension kicks in this year, so Knox is in the fold for four more seasons.’
