‘Beane said he had no knowledge of a health issue for Frazier and did not think that was a factor in the decision. Beane did not get into specifics, saying it was “more of a personal thing.”‘

Ryan O’Halloran: Sean McDermott’s easiest offseason decision? Name himself defensive play-caller
‘The Bills didn’t seem organized against Miami or Cincinnati, having to burn timeouts because the defense wasn’t lined up correctly. Inexcusable at any level of playoff football, but especially the NFL. This had to enrage McDermott.’
Combine observations: Buffalo Bills’ coaching changes not limited to Leslie Frazier’s departure
‘The team also made official the additions of Al Holcomb (senior defensive assistant), Adam Henry (wide receivers), Kyle Shurmur (offensive quality control) and Austin Gund (offensive assistant/offensive line) to McDermott’s staff. That follows the hiring of Joe Danna as safeties coach that was made official Feb. 2.’
Chad Hall’s departure from Buffalo Bills to Jaguars remains a bit of a mystery
‘“Chad was kind of a free agent and I actually got a chance to coach him when I was in Philadelphia as an assistant (under Andy Reid),” Pederson said inside the Indianapolis Convention Center. “He played the position, he knows it. He has a great mindset, he’s energetic and he’s a great teacher and those are all the traits I look for in assistant coaches. I just love his work ethic. He’s coached some great players, like Stefon Diggs, so we’re excited. When he became available, he was definitely the top guy on my list and the guy I wanted to get.”’
Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier to take year off from coaching
‘“So last week was kind of a week that we gave everyone off in the office, coaches were away, and so during that time Leslie reached out and just talked through some things,” general manager Brandon Beane said at the NFL Scouting Combine. “Ultimately, he didn’t want to retire. He’s not there in his mind but he just wanted to take a step back. The way we left it is he’s gonna take 2023 off, but talking to him, he has full plans to return to coaching in 2024.”’
Buffalo Bills news, notes: Stefon Diggs’ attitude is no worry, Hamlin’s return unknown
‘Here’s the thing about Davis: After not facing elite competition in college playing for Central Florida, he came to Buffalo and did a nice job assimilating to the NFL in his first two seasons, especially in a secondary role amid a veteran receiving corps that at various times included Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, John Brown and Emmanuel Sanders.’
Bills’ stadium issues; Dobler’s classic response
‘What’s certain is there are obstacles in getting the lease signed and the stadium approved with an April 2026 completion date.’
Buffalo Bills’ Leslie Frazier stepping away from coaching for 2023 season
‘Some of the top defensive coordinator names that were on the market like Vic Fangio (Miami Dolphins) and Steve Wilks (San Francisco 49ers) have found new homes already this offseason. The Bills have several internal candidates — like defensive line coach Eric Washington — with defensive coordinator experience.’
Here’s everything Sean McDermott, Brandon Beane said about Leslie Frazier stepping away from Bills
‘Frazier’s decision leaves the Bills without a defensive coordinator and fans with plenty of questions about how things will shake out on the defensive side of the ball. McDermott and Beane stepped to the podium inside the Indiana Convention Center on Tuesday to answer questions during the NFL scouting combine. After they finished, both men held court with reporters for additional press scrums.’
Without Leslie Frazier, ‘it’s over’ for Buffalo Bills, says former WR
‘Brandon Marshall said that it’s over for Buffalo as the team will miss Frazier’s leadership. “It’s over for Buffalo. It’s over,” Marshall said. “I’m telling you, that defense (was) nice. It’s the coach (Leslie Frazier). You can keep the scheme, but you can’t keep his leadership. ‘Yo, let me go talk to this player like this. Let me go meet this one where they’re at. Let me go challenge this one. Let me cut this one.’ So you can keep the scheme, but he ain’t there.”’
Mel Kiper Jr. has Buffalo Bills adding playmaker ‘who can make Josh Allen’s life easier’ in mock 2.0
‘Robinson is a top-10 prospect just based on talent in this draft, but it was tough finding a perfect fit for him. Teams (rightly) aren’t taking running backs in the top 10 anymore, choosing instead to find values in the middle and late rounds. While I agree with that strategy, there comes a point in Round 1 in which it does make sense to snag a running back as talented as Robinson, and that’s here. The Bills could get a complete back — Robinson is stellar between the tackles and has great hands as a pass-catcher — and a player who can make quarterback Josh Allen’s life easier. This is a way for the Buffalo offense to take the next step.’
Leslie Frazier steps away as Bills defensive coordinator, plans to return in 2024
‘But Frazier faced scrutiny following the AFC Divisional round loss to the Bengals after 412 yards of total offense in the 27-10 loss. It came one season after the Bills blew a lead in the final 13 seconds against the Chiefs in the playoffs.’
Damar Hamlin has ‘two or three more’ medical experts to see in potential NFL comeback
‘“He’s seen several specialists since our season has ended. That’s not done. I think he’s got two or three more that he’s got to see in various parts of the country. We’ve had one to two guys traveling with him to see these specialists because it will be a decision for Damar, but it’ll also be a decision for us,” Beane said, per Pro Football Talk.’
Leslie Frazier abruptly takes hiatus from Bills defensive coordinator job
‘Leslie Frazier, who has run the Bills’ defense since 2017 and has been an assistant head coach for the last three seasons, is taking a year off from coaching, the team announced Tuesday morning. The Bills said Frazier plans to return for the 2024 season.’
