‘Some of the Bills’ wins haven’t been pretty, but most Super Bowl teams don’t have a “sunshine and rainbows” path to their wins. Just ask the undefeated New England Patriots what happened to them when they met the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII back in 2007.’

Bills run game helps Buffalo win 3rd consecutive AFC East title
‘A huge part of this Christmas Eve win was due to the Bills’ run game and more specifically running backs Devin Singletary and James Cook. Singletary rushed 106 yards and Cook had 99 on the day. Buffalo as a whole rushed for 254 yards against the Bears which totals out to be their highest in six years.’
Carucci Take 2: Defense dominates as Bills win 3rd straight division crown in the cold
‘Buffalo’s D did an excellent job of containing the NFL’s top-ranked rushing offense, holding the Bears to 80 yards on the ground and an averaging of 2.8 yards per carry. Justin Fields, who entered the game as the league’s top rushing quarterback with 1,000 yards, ran for a mere 11 yards on seven attempts.’
Bills defeat Bears 35-13 in frigid Christmas Eve matchup
‘“The field felt like ice,” said defensive Shaq Lawson. “At first when I came out to warm up I’m like ‘okay I got to see how it feel’. But then when you make a tackle its a little different because you’re hurting.”’
Wins, division titles now the standard in Buffalo
‘This game was an opportunity for the non-Josh Allen run unit to build some confidence and the Bills sure cashed it in. James Cook fell one yard short of giving Buffalo their first pair of 100-yard backs in the same game since 2015.’
Bills clinch AFC East with win in frigid Chicago
‘Josh Allen did not have a strong game throwing for the Bills, completing just 15 passes for 172 yards and a pair of interceptions. But Allen did run for a late score and threw another to Dawson Knox to close out the game.’
Buffalo Bills beat the Bears 35-13. They are 2022 AFC East Champions
‘236 rushing yards today for the #Bills (51 Yds more than their previous season high against Minnesota in Week 10).’
Bills Brush off Bears 35-13
‘The fact that Allen had an off day, for him anyway, and the Bills still won by 22 points, is encouraging. He doesn’t have to be perfect for the Bills to win, at least against teams the Bills are favored to beat. But Allen will have to be nearly perfect for the Bills biggest game of the season a week from tonight at Cincinnati, where the AFC’s top seed will probably be decided. The Bengals have won 7 in a row behind talented Joe Burrow, who has a healthy receiving corps again, while the Bills have reeled off 6 straight to improve to 12-3, a game ahead of Cincy. The Chiefs are also 12-3 but the Bills have that tie breaker with the earlier win at Arrowhead.’

‘Buffalo fell behind 10-6 at halftime but outscored the Bears 29-3 in the second half.’
Bills use potent running attack to put away Bears on Christmas Eve | Game recap, highlights and stats
‘Buffalo’s defense stymied a dynamic QB in Justin Fields, holding him to 15 of 23 passing for 119 yards and a season-low 11 rushing yards on 7 attempts. The defense came up especially big in the second half to turn the tide in the Bills’ favor. In Chicago’s eight second half possessions, the Bills forced three punts, two turnovers on downs and two takeaways.’

‘”He runs around a lot, but we caught him in the pocket a couple of times while he was just sitting there holding the ball, and that’s what you got to do to him,” said Ed Oliver of Fields. “You can’t let him get out. Collapse on the outside and just keep him in the pocket. If you try to chase him down, he’s liable to do anything, but if you can keep him in the pocket and kind of contain him, you can get him down.”‘
“It personifies that resiliency” | Bills keep City of Buffalo in their thoughts amidst Christmas Eve win
‘”I think in the past we’ve obviously seen what it’s like to have to go on the road and win playoff games,” safety Jordan Poyer added. “But it is important for us to get that home-field advantage, to get the crowd at home, the cold weather games. Not a lot of people want to come to Buffalo in late January, early February.”‘
