The group coaches and mentors kids with social, physical and economic challenges. A big part of Smeraldo’s job involves working with kids with disabilities and he said he recently met Harrison Phillips, to discuss getting more Southern Tier kids involved.’

Carucci Take 2: Josh Allen’s elbow injury could reveal plenty about the Bills’ true quality
‘Of course, they are (or should be) at their very best with a healthy Josh Allen at quarterback. He’s listed as questionable with the right elbow injury he suffered late in last Sunday’s loss against the Jets after missing two days of practice and practicing on a limited basis Friday. If Allen doesn’t play against the Vikings, we’re going to see just how well the supporting cast is able to rise to the occasion with Case Keenum behind center.’
Sunday’s Bills-Vikings game could be 1st at home with snow this season
‘So that said, anyone heading to the Bills-Vikings game at Highmark Stadium should be prepared for rain, snow and colder temperatures. The temperature Sunday morning will start in the low 30s as the first snow showers of the day move into the Southtowns. Those will continue off and on, eventually transitioning to a rain/snow mix later in the afternoon as temperatures rise into the upper 30s.’
Diggs: Reading fueled personal growth after trade from Minnesota
‘Diggs said he’s been reading a lot recently, including a new book called “The Power of Unlocking You” — adding he’s been trying to educate himself more. “I’m getting old,” Diggs laughed. “This is just how it goes.”‘
Bills QB Josh Allen listed as questionable ahead of Sunday vs. Vikings, two others ruled out
‘Allen is dealing with a right elbow injury and has been unable to practice Wednesday or Thursday. The plan for Friday’s practice is still up in the air and the team is taking it “hour-to-hour” with Allen today.’
Bills Today: Three Bills named to PFF’s 2022 NFL Midseason All-Pro Team
‘Based on the first half of the season, PFF put together their Midseason All-Pro Team which features WR Stefon Diggs, Edge Von Miller, and LB Matt Milano.’
PlayAction: Stopping the run with light boxes could be key for Vikings, Bills
‘Defending a team good at the run-pass option, like Kansas City or Buffalo, means keeping that nickel cornerback or outside linebacker cheating toward pass defense, a little outside the box, to discourage the easy, short in-cut pass that is the feature of the RPO play.’
Inside the Bills: A Cook family first – James and Dalvin excited to compete against each other for first time
‘“There’s a lot of energy going into this game,” James said. “We’ve been talking to trash to each other, so it’s going to be fun playing against him for the first time. It should be awesome.”’
Bills QB Josh Allen does not practice for second day in a row
‘Coach Sean McDermott said Wednesday that Allen is day to day. Allen did briefly pop his head out of the Bills’ fieldhouse just before the portion of practice open to the media ended. Allen was wearing a sleeve on his right arm Thursday.’
How we see it: News writers offer predictions for Bills vs. Vikings

View from Vegas: NFC North has not been kind to Bills backers vs. spread
‘Prediction: Bills over Vikings by 4.’
Erik Brady: Bills and Vikings meet in F. Scott Fitzgerald Bowl
‘Think of Sunday’s game as the F. Scott Fitzgerald Bowl. After all, this literary eminence split much of his childhood between Buffalo and St. Paul, Minn. Hard to say, then, whether he would have been a Bills fan or a Vikings fan. One thing we know for sure, though: Fitzgerald was a football fan.’
No Josh Allen, no biggie: 10 times backup quarterbacks have led Buffalo Bills to victory
‘Just as numerous other Bills backup quarterbacks have in the past when they were thrust into action, either because the starter got hurt or benched. Here are 10 occasions when a Bills backup played and came out on the winning side…’
Vikings’ Harrison Phillips preparing for ’emotional’ return to Buffalo
‘Phillips, a 2018 third-round pick by the Bills out of Stanford, developed into a consistent contributor for a Buffalo franchise that ascended with his arrival. He said he still has video on his phone from the Bills arriving back to “20,000 fans” at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport after their AFC East-clinching win in Denver in December 2020.’
Vikings nose tackle Harrison Phillips ready for ’emotional’ return to Buffalo
‘Phillips, a nose tackle in his first season with the Vikings, will return to Buffalo for Sunday’s game at Highmark Stadium after playing his first four seasons in the NFL with the Bills. The 26-year-old already has dinner reservations for Saturday night at Ilio DiPaolo’s, where he plans to eat a lot of chicken parmesan. He is recommending that spot and several others. “Bar-Bill (Tavern) Wings, Rachels Mediterranean Grill or Buffalo Chophouse,” he said Thursday. “I’m trying to divvy it all out.”’
