‘Rodgers can make plays to keep his team in games, even when things aren’t going as well as expected. The Bills have to make sure they don’t allow that to happen and not give Green Bay hope, knowing they have one of the best to ever play throwing the ball.’

WKBW sports staff predicts Green Bay Packers @ Buffalo Bills
‘If Green Bay is going to pull off the upset this week, they’ll need splash plays from their playmakers. But here’s the problem for the Packers – they don’t have any elite playmakers at wide receiver. Allen Lazard is a good player, but he’s banged up heading into this matchup. Former Bill Sammy Watkins looks like he could return this week, but has failed to produce consistently. Rookie Christian Watson is also dealing with an injury, and could be unavailable.’
Bills, Packers are ready for Sunday Night Football
‘The Bills are coming into this game with more confidence in their rushing attack. Two weeks ago against Kansas City was one of the best ground games we have seen from this Buffalo offense in years. The Bills were easily able to move the ball on the ground, rushing for 125 yards on 31 carries.’
Carucci Take 2: Once seen as a possible Super Bowl preview, Bills-Packers could be another big Buffalo win
‘Why is there any reason to believe the Packers are going to find something to motivate them against the Bills? Rodgers isn’t wired that way. When he plays well, he does so methodically, almost mechanically. He’s a cool, calculating pro who doesn’t ride the emotional waves the way veteran counterpart Tom Brady does.’
Thad’s Three Things: Bills vs. Packers
‘Green Bay, on the other hand, has been an utter disaster since a 3-1 start. Their three-game losing streak included two games where they were favored by more than a touchdown and two where they blew double-digit leads. To be fair, two of those losses were against arguably the top two surprise teams in the league (Giants and Jets).’
‘A gigantic game’ | Bills fans and players amped for another prime time setting in Orchard Park
‘”I think everyone on this team always loves primetime just knowing the eyes are on us. It gets (us) a little extra hyped up every week. I think with primetime there’s always a little extra juice, too. It’s easy to get yourself going,” Bills TE Dawson Knox said.’
Top 6 storylines to follow for Bills vs. Packers | Week 8
‘The Packers’ issues haven’t necessarily been on defense. In fact, they have yet to give up more than 27 points in a game. Their issue has been the offense’s inability to get it going with quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his playmakers with the departure of Davante Adams. On the other hand, Buffalo has had an offense and defense that have supported each other through the start of the season. When Buffalo’s offense hasn’t performed at its best, the defense has been able to help out and vice versa.’
6 things to watch for in Bills vs. Packers | Week 8
‘Allen has a rating of 108.6 with Rodgers right behind him at 106.5. Green Bay’s QB actually has a 13-game winning streak in primetime, which is the longest by any quarterback since the merger.’
Game predictions | Bills vs. Packers | Sunday Night Football
‘It’s about Green Bay’s faulty coaching on defense and personnel on offense. This should be another reality check for Rodgers that a “tick” better won’t be enough.’
Bills vs. Packers | How to watch, stream and listen | Sunday Night Football Week 8
‘The game will be nationally televised on NBC.’
Bills not counting out Rodgers despite Packers’ struggles
‘“It’s a team that has great potential and led by Aaron, a future Hall-of-Famer, he’s dangerous and the team is dangerous. It’s been to the playoffs, and NFC Championship Game, multiple years in a row outside of last season. So when you have Aaron Rodgers at quarterback and the talent they have, we have a lot of respect for them.”’
Despite record, Bills a surprising one-sided favorite
‘Of Green Bay’s three wins, one was an overtime decision against the Patriots at Lambeau and besides being hammered 23-7 in the opener at Minnesota, there were two galling losses to the New York teams in consecutive weeks, 27-22 to the Giants in London and 27-10 to the Jets in Green Bay.’
Bills Notebook: Jake Kumerow set to make return against former team, appreciates shout out from Aaron Rodgers
‘Kumerow was with the Packers from 2017 to 2020. He was a surprise release ahead of the 2020 season – which didn’t sit well with Rodgers, particularly after he had sung the receiver’s praises just days before. Kumerow has mostly played a role on special teams since coming to Buffalo, although he does have four catches for 64 yards this season.’
‘SNF’ reporter Melissa Stark addresses most amusing moments on the sidelines
‘She has been in Buffalo during the week for reports when she worked on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” but has never been on the sideline for a Bills game and is “thrilled” and “excited” for Sunday’s game.’
For Sammy Watkins, return to Buffalo will be about more than nostalgia
‘“I had some of my best times there,” said Watkins, who enters the game with eight receptions for 147 yards after spending four games on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. “It’s definitely going to be weird, but I just can’t wait to get there and get those old feelings back when I was just a young Sammy.”’
