‘As for the Bills defense, they’ll have their hands full with one of the most intimidating running backs in Derrick Henry. He’s too good to be shut down, but this game needs to be about limiting the explosive plays. Last season the Bills didn’t do a good enough job of that, and it cost them. Like the Titans, the Bills are dealing with some injuries that make me think this game will be a bit closer than it should. The Titans will hang around and play tough, but I’m taking the Bills. The home opener is a holiday in Western New York and Bills Mafia should be celebrating in style.’

Why this Buffalo Bills fan is running 17 miles to the MNF home opener
‘“It’s a great reason for me to come visit home and do something I love to do while supporting the community,” said Goldsmith, an accomplished triathlete now living in Frisco, Texas, where he works as a fitness coach. “I really look forward to running down Abbott Road again into the tailgate. This is something I’ve tried to make an annual tradition. Being able to parlay it into fundraising for FeedMore, especially after the horrific shooting at Tops, makes this even more meaningful.”’
Forza Buffalo: Italy Bills backers a part of the mafia, even if they can’t say that word much
‘The group has about 60 diehard fans. All have different stories and homes across the more than 700 miles of Italy. Once a season though, the group converges on a pub in Milan for a game. The owner of the pub is a Buffalo Bills Backers Italy member. They meet up for every post-season game as well.’
Sullivan: With chip on his shoulder, A.J. Epenesa coming into his own
‘“I would say it was a moment where I probably had a little bit of doubt,” Epenesa said. “I was starting to lose a little bit of confidence. Questions go through your head, like ‘What am I not doing right? What am I not doing to meet the standard?’’

Local Bills fans set for opener at Highmark and at home
‘Barron and his Bills crew have been tailgating for some time in preparation for the home opener… with refreshments flowing. “We’re here in the RV lot– since yesterday, since yesterday. And we’re ready for the Mafia to go out. LET’S GO!!”’
Thad’s Three Things: Bills vs. Titans
‘Without him, the Bills will need more from someone (or maybe multiple someones) else. Isaiah McKenzie was okay, but probably disappointing overall in his first game with a larger role in offense. Jamison Crowder did look good in limited opportunities. If Davis is out, Khalir Shakir or maybe even Isaiah Hodgins might also get a chance. Both were very impressive in the preseason.’
Bills slightly banged up heading into Monday night’s game
‘Jackson is listed as questionable, and Settle is doubtful, but both seem optimistic they’ll be good to go for the home opener.’
Bills fans won’t be able to juke high ticket prices this season
‘”A lot of season ticket holders were selling their seats [last year],” said Nick Giammusso, president and CEO at VIPTIX. “This year, [our company] has seen a 500 percent increase [in sales for Bills games] year-over-year from 2021, but that comes with an asterisk.”‘
Tennessee Titans at Buffalo Bills – NFL Week 2 Preview
‘This year, Buffalo wants to reverse the series trend in their direction. For the second straight week, Buffalo is up against a difficult opponent in a primetime slot. Wouldn’t that be some start to the season to take both games?’
Buffalo is ready for Monday Night Football and an “absolutely bananas” environment
‘”Monday night, it’s showtime back on prime time again,” wide receiver Stefon Diggs said. “We’re on there for a reason, too. I feel like this team, we’ve been through the good and the bad. We’ve been through the rain, we’ve been through the storm. So, when things do get a little sunny like on Monday night, why not shine?”‘
6 things to watch for in Bills vs. Titans | Monday Night Football Week 2 2022
‘”I have so much respect for those guys because I know the identity of the team,” said Bills guard Rodger Saffold, who played the last three seasons for the Titans. “I know how those guys play. That’s all the motivation I need. I know that this is going to be a physical game. I know there are going to be some big collisions, and I know that we’re really going to have to be efficient up and down the field to make them one dimensional and then really start attacking.”‘
