Bills put Micah Hyde on injured reserve; agent says season is over
‘The agent for safety Micah Hyde announced Saturday on social media that his client will be placed on season-ending injured reserve by the team because of a neck injury. The Bills later made the move official.’
Bills Mailbag: Health could be a major factor for a team with Super Bowl hopes
‘Injuries are one of the biggest deciding factors for any team, every season. Players say it so often it comes off as a cliché, but it’s true – the injury rate in the league is 100%. Every team is going to deal with them. It’s all about who gets hurt and how much time they miss. For example, would last year’s divisional loss in the playoffs have been a different game if Tre’Davious White were able to play? It’s possible. Coaches will never use injuries as an excuse, and Sean McDermott this week refused to do so even with four key defensive contributors out of the lineup. It’s crazy to think, though, that the Bills’ chances of winning this game aren’t impacted by not having Dane Jackson, Micah Hyde, Ed Oliver and Jordan Phillips. The Bills have generally been able to avoid major injury issues the last few years, though, that changed with Hyde placed on season-ending injured reserve with a neck injury. Fans just have to cross their fingers the team stays – or in this case, gets – as healthy as possible.’

Bills must face Miami’s potent passing game with secondary in complete disarray
‘So this leaves the Bills with this starting group in the secondary to go against the prolific Miami pass catching duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle: Rookie cornerbacks Kaiir Elam and Christian Benford, and young and mostly unproven safeties JaQuan Johnson and Damar Hamlin.’
Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins prediction and keys to the game for the AFC East matchup
‘Sal’s prediction: Buffalo Bills 35, Miami Dolphins 27.’
Bills’ Micah Hyde going on IR, will miss rest of 2022 season with neck injury, agent says
‘The Bills are expected to start fourth-year safety Jaquan Johnson against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday in place of Hyde. Safety Jordan Poyer is listed as questionable for the game with a foot injury. If he can’t play, then second-year safety Damar Hamlin could start. The Bills are without All Pro cornerback Tre’Davious White, who is still making his way back from a torn ACL that happened in November last year. Dane Jackson has been starting as the team’s no. 1 cornerback, but he won’t play Sunday because of a neck injury that occurred against the Titans. Rookie cornerbacks Kaiir Elam and Christian Benford are expected to start against the Dolphins.’

Bills rookie Kaiir Elam relishing his first NFL start against ‘elite’ Tyreek Hill: ‘It should be fun’
‘“I want to be elite and I want to be looked at as somebody who can be a top guy in this league,” Elam told Syracuse.com on Thursday. “Facing a guy like Tyreek Hill, I feel like he’s going to bring it and that’s something that I just have in the back of my head – like this is my moment. This is what you worked so hard to do. It should be fun.”
Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins 2022 preview for Week 3: Our writers give their score predictions
‘Despite Tagovailoa and the Dolphins having an advantageous matchup, I need to actually see him lead Miami to a win before I believe it. I’m not buying the hype on the offense yet.’
3 reasons to freak out about Bills defense vs. Dolphins; 3 reasons not to panic
‘Starting secondary has combined 3 NFL starts.’
What the Dolphins are saying about Josh Allen, Bills: ‘It’s a war’
‘“We understand that they’re a really good team,” Tagovailoa said. That’s no secret. Everyone knows that they’re really good team. They’re tough defensively, they’re explosive offensively. So I wouldn’t say that we have a measuring stick for how good that these guys are because when you look at it, their opening game, they beat the Super Bowl champions of last year. And they didn’t just beat them; it was by a lot. And the next team they played, a really good team; they beat them by a lot. So for us, we’re just looking at playing the way we play and playing the way we’ve played for the past two weeks and we’ll go out there, they’ll get our best and we’ll get theirs.”’
