‘Buffalo did what it felt was necessary to survive the game by slowing the pace to a crawl, but when the coaches review the tape, they should realize that deviating from what the offense does so well is a gross mistake.’

NFL Week 3 Takeaways: Stats are for losers. Ask the Bills, especially
‘How does a team lose despite outgaining the opposition by 285 yards, or more than double the winner’s output? The Bills found a way on Sunday in sultry Miami Gardens.’
Frustrating day for Buffalo Bills players and coaches fighting heat, cramps, mistakes
‘“It was hot as hell,” said McKenzie, who had seven catches for 76 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for six yards. “We fought the best we could — each and every play. Cramping up, throwing up, whatever happened, we fought through it.”’

Dolphins hold on despite hilarious ‘butt punt’ as Bills coordinator fumes
‘However, because the Bills had no timeouts they needed to spike the ball to stop the clock, but they could not get the snap off in time. A camera placed in the Bills coaches box caught offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey livid after his offense couldn’t spike the ball. Dorsey slammed his headset and then his tablet our of frustration.’
Column: Dolphins-Bills game was special, if brutal
‘Who stood toughest? A Dolphins defense that weathered 90 plays across 40-plus minutes? Or was it Allen across eight rushes, four sacks and 63 dropbacks?’
Dolphins survive Bills’ offensive push, own ‘butt-punt’ to move to 3-0
‘The Dolphins’ defense withstood Allen, who tossed for 400 yards with two touchdowns, and the Bills, who dominated time of possession by more than double (40:40 to 19:20). Buffalo finished with 497 yards of offense compared to 212 for Miami.’
Dolphins Halt Allen, Survive ‘Butt Punt’ To Beat Bills
‘Allen had about a minute to guide Buffalo into field goal range, and did so, but the Bills ran out of time. Isaiah McKenzie tried for extra yards on a completion from Allen, costing precious seconds. Dolphins players started celebrating when the clock hit zero with Allen just stepping under center.’
OC Ken Dorsey slams headset, tablet after Buffalo Bills drop first game
‘With the Bills’ final drive falling short as time expired after quarterback Josh Allen passed to Isaiah McKenzie, when the wide receiver appeared to have time to get out of bounds to stop the clock, offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey was shown on the CBS broadcast reacting in frustration, slamming his headset, hat and tablet into the desk and crumpling the papers around him. Allen also slammed his helmet to the ground in frustration after the 21-19 loss.’
Dolphins vs. Bills score, takeaways: Miami survives Josh Allen-led Buffalo, ‘butt punt’ to remain undefeated
‘Buffalo had one last chance at a game-winning drive after Thomas Morstead’s punt was deflected in the end zone after hitting the backside of teammate Trent Sherfield, resulting in a safety. But Dolphins’ defense was able to stop Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense on their final drive to move to 3-0 on the season. The Bills are now 2-1 after dropping their first game of the 2022 campaign.’
Watch: Bills OC Ken Dorsey throws epic temper tantrum in booth after losing to Dolphins in final seconds
‘Dorsey threw an epic temper tantrum in the coaches booth after time expired on the Bills’ final drive. The first-year coordinator slammed just about everything on his desk, along with his hat and headset, after Buffalo failed to get a spike off and attempt a would-be game-winning field goal from 50-plus yards out.’
Bills OC Ken Dorsey has epic meltdown in coaching booth, slams headset and playbook after chaotic ending, loss to Dolphins
‘Unfortunately for the Bills, McKenzie was brought down inside the lines with 7 seconds remaining. Buffalo was unable to get back to the line of scrimmage in time, resulting in the final 21-19 score:’
McDermott proud of resilience Bills showed Sunday
‘”I thought our training staff did a great job. Guys were going down, some of it heat related, some of it other injury related. Just real proud of the guys,” said McDermott with the media following the loss. “I know we didn’t get the result that we all came down here for. I think we learned something about our team today, that’s for sure. I’m proud of the guys and the way they battled and the effort they gave us.”‘
Allen: Offense ‘didn’t take care of business’
‘While Allen passed for 400 yards flat and two touchdowns, he also coughed up the ball three times, losing one of his fumbles. In addition, Buffalo could not capitalize on a number of situations that could have put the game out of reach much sooner.’
Opinion: Arrow Up/Arrow Down: Bills at Dolphins
‘The Bills had a 17-14 lead with 11:37 left in the game, and had Miami facing a 3rd down and 22 from their own 48 yard line. Tua Tagovailoa hit Jaylen Waddle for a 45-yard gain, down to the Bills 7-yard line. Damar Hamlin and Jaquan Johnson were in coverage on the backend. There’s no reason that should happen, but it did, the Dolphins scored a touchdown, and never gave the lead back.’
